Beginning the Lesson

5 mins Follow the Leader Opener:


The teacher will invite the class to follow him in how he acts. Together with the class, he
will do a series of emotions for the class to follow:
1. Happy
2. Sad
3. Scared
4. Surprised
5. Angry
6. Shy
7. Brave
8. Bored

Developing the Lesson

5 mins The teacher will pass around the rubric of the drama for each group. He will
then show examples of the expectations. After presenting the expectations
and examples, the teacher will ask if any student needs clarification. Before
letting the class practice for their dramas, remind students to think about the
expectations in their acting.

33 Drama Practice:

the different characters in the story. Each group will be assigned to different
parts of the room where they will have space to enact their short skits.
