Five Factor (or) OCEAN Model of Personality

In 1936, researchers had identified over 18,000 trait-related


adjectives in a standard English Dictionary.

These were reliably categorized into five broad personality


dimensions.

These dimensions are referred to in personality literature as


Five Factor Model (FFM) or OCEAN model of personality.
