obiettivo da sempre. Non ci siamo
mai fermati in questa ricerca complessa,
dove il risultato finale, prima ancora
di essere valutato come un piccolo
Le nostre
prodigio tecnologico, nasce dalle
premesse della relazione che si crea
tra lazienda e il designer, dalla magica
alchimia che talvolta si manifesta
subito e altre volte, invece, fatica
a trovare un suo equilibrio rendendo
nuove forme
il percorso per arrivare al prodotto
finito tortuoso e difficile.
Con un occhio attento alle richieste
di mercato, ma con il cuore sempre
aperto alla sperimentazione e agli
stimoli creativi dei designer,

lavoro di cui ora vi presentiamo
gli esiti: ICONA, la prima collezione
Fantini firmata da Vincent Van Duysen,
architetto belga di fama internazionale,
dalle forme pure e senza tempo.
NICE, una collezione di rubinetti
di Matteo Thun e Antonio Rodriguez,
gi autori delle serie Venezia e Lam
per Fantini, con le maniglie in meta-
crilato colorato dallimmagine molto
moderna e gioiosa. Anche la nuova

colonna doccia NOW un loro progetto.
COLIBR, della coppia Angeletti e Ruzza,
gi nostri designer delle serie Mint e
Ar/38, un rubinetto dal carattere for-
male deciso e particolare. THERMAE,
di Giulio Gianturco, una linea di rubi-
netteria dedicata alle terme e alle SPA.
Ancora: ci sono due nuove maniglie
della serie Venezia e una versione
Easy di MilanoSlim che, dopo Milano-
Slim Outdoor, arricchisce lofferta
doccia di questa serie.
In pi, abbiamo lavorato a nuove
finiture del metallo Matt Gun Metal
Pvd, Brushed Copper Pvd, Matt British
Gold Pvd - che ampliano lofferta
di varianti cromatiche di alcune
nostre collezioni.
Qualit e affidabilit del prodotto
sono i valori trasversali di ogni
nostro progetto, in cui cerchiamo,
come fabbrica del design italiano,

It has always been our aim to give new
forms to water. We have never ceased
in this complex research, where the
final result, even before being valued
as a minor technological prodigy,
comes about from the premises of the
relationship that is created between
company and designer, from the
magical alchemy that is sometimes
manifested immediately and at other
times struggles to find an equilibrium,
making the route to arrive at the end
product tortuous and difficult.
With an eye that is attentive to the
requests from the market, but with a
heart always open to experimentation
and the creative stimuli of the designers,
this year we have done enormous work,
the results of which we now present to
you: ICONA, the first Fantini collection
designed by Vincent Van Duysen,
a Belgian architect of international
renown, with pure timeless forms.
NICE, a collection of taps by Matteo
Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, previously
the creators of the Venezia and Lam
series for Fantini, with methacrylate
handles with a very modern, joyful
image. The new NOW shower column
is one of their projects.
COLIBR, by Angeletti and Ruzza,
previously our designers of the Mint
and Ar/38 series, is a tap with a clearcut
and particular formal character.
THERMAE, by Giulio Gianturco,
is a line of taps and fittings dedicated
to thermal baths and SPAS.
And there is more: there are two new
handles from the Venezia series and
an Easy version of MilanoSlim that,
after MilanoSlim Outdoor, enhances
the offer of showers in this series.
And more still, we have worked on
some new metal finishes - Matt Gun
Metal Pvd, Brushed Copper Pvd,
Matt British Gold Pvd - to extend the
offer of chromatic variations of some
of our collections.
Product quality and reliability are the
transversal values of all our projects,
in which we, as an Italian design
factory, always seek to create a perfect
mix of industrial technology and
hand-crafting know-how.

Il progetto nasce da una ricerca
sulle forme archetipe tradotte
in geometria pura e reinterpretate
in chiave contemporanea.
Metafora del rapporto tra psiche
e materia, il dialogo tra cerchio
e quadrato attraversa tutta
la collezione: il lavabo un blocco
quadrato in marmo da cui
sottratta una semisfera, la semisfera
diventa una ciotola su un piano
rettangolare sottile come un foglio,
i raggi del cerchio diventano
i rubinetti.
La ricchezza dei materiali, marmo
e pietre per i lavabi e finitura
Matt Gun Metal Pvd per i rubinetti,
impreziosiscono la purezza
delle forme.
La collezione prende il nome
da una localit con le sabbie bianche
in Sicilia vicino Siracusa, chiamata
cos per le numerose fontane naturali
di acqua dolce che sgorgano nel mare.
The project came about from
research into archetypal forms
translated into pure geometry
and reinterpreted in a contemporary
vein. A metaphor for the relationship
between psyche and material, the
dialogue between circle and square
runs through the entire collection:
the washbasin is a square marble
block from which a hemisphere
is extracted; the hemisphere becomes
a bowl on a rectangular plane, slim
as a sheet, the radii of the sphere
become the taps.
The richness of the materials,
marble and stone for the washbasins
and Matt Gun Metal Pvd finish for
the taps, embellishes the purity
of the forms.
The collection takes its name from
a locality with white sands in Sicily,
near to Syracuse, so-called on
account of the numerous natural
freshwater fountains gushing out
into the sea.

Lidea di un progetto THERMAE cominci
ad incuriosirmi un po di anni fa, durante un
long week end in un bellissimo parco termale
a Ischia. Il proprietario, mio amico, lamentava
che in questo eden lelemento che stonava
era la rubinetteria delle moltissime fonti.
Il progetto ha cominciato a prendere forma
nella mia testa allora. Dopo avere preparato
alcuni prototipi per valutarne la funzionalit
e la resistenza, stato determinante lincontro
con la Fantini, che si appassionata allidea
e ha avuto la capacit di realizzare il progetto.

The idea of a THERMAE project began to

arouse my curiosity a few years ago, during
a long weekend at a beautiful spa park in
Ischia. The owner, my friend, complained
that in this Eden the only element that was
out-of-place was the taps of the very many
fountains. The project began to take shape
then in my head. After preparing some
prototypes in order to evaluate their
functionality and durability, my meeting
with Fantini was decisive; they were excited
about the idea and had the capability
to implement the project.

Sono ottenute con trattamento
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition),
letteralmente deposizione fisica
attraverso vapore. un metodo
per la deposizione di film sottili
sugli oggetti metallici in fase
di sottovuoto che mantiene la
superficie degli stessi inalterata.
Utilizzata anche in campo aero-
spaziale e biomedicale, permette
di ottenere diverse sfumature
di colori con caratteristiche
di atossicit e biocompatibilit.

are our new proposals of finishes,
giving our metal products a parti-
cular range of special chromatic
effects: the unmistakable gun
metal colour - between dark grey,
blue and burnished - the warm
copper bronze colour - a sort of
rosy brown - the sophisticated,
calm, elegant British gold.
They are all obtained with PVD
(Physical Vapour Deposition)
treatment. This is a method
of deposition of a thin film onto
metal objects in a vacuum phase
that keeps the surface unaltered.
Also used in the aerospace and
biomedical fields, it allows various
colour tones to be obtained with
characteristics of atoxicity and
biocompatibility.

Donner de nouvelles formes leau est lobjectif que
nous poursuivons depuis toujours. Nous navons jamais
interrompu cette recherche complexe, dans laquelle le
rsultat final, avant mme dtre valu comme tant un
petit chef-duvre technologique, nat des prambules
de la relation qui se noue entre lentreprise et le designer,
de la magique alchimie qui, parfois, se manifeste immd-
iatement et qui, en revanche, dans dautres cas, a bien
du mal trouver son quilibre et rend tortueux et difficile
le parcours qui mne au produit fini. Cette anne, tout
en prtant un regard attentif aux demandes du march
et en gardant toujours lesprit ouvert lexprimentation
et aux stimulations cratrices des designers, nous avons
accompli un travail norme dont nous vous prsentons
les rsultats: ICONA, la premire collection Fantini si-

Sy ajoutent deux nouvelles poignes de la srie Venezia
et une version Easy de MilanoSlim qui, aprs MilanoSlim
Outdoor, enrichit loffre pour la douche de cette srie.
Nous avons aussi travaill aux nouvelles finitions du
mtal Matt Gun Metal Pvd, Brushed Copper Pvd, Matt
British Gold Pvd - qui enrichissent ainsi la gamme des
variantes de couleurs de certaines de nos collections.

objectif consiste atteindre dans la vie des choses
sereines et tranquilles, des choses non dictes par les
tendances, des choses qui ont une certaine qualit et un
certain confort que lon trouve au-del de tout ce qui suit
les tendances ou la mode.
Fonctionnalit, dure, confort et esthtique : quel est
le premier lment qui vous vient lesprit quand vous
entreprenez la conception dun produit industriel?
Tous les mots que vous avez numrs sont trs
importants dans tous mes projets quels quils soient.
Je crois que cest surtout la forme qui doit suivre la
fonction. tant un tre humain qui conoit pour dautres
tres humains, les priorits que je me fixe sont, absolu-
ment, la fonctionnalit et le confort.

Je crois quIcona, le produit que jai conu pour Fantini,
est une collection de robinets intemporels et quasiment
universels, avec une petite touche rtro, mais sans
excs, encore trs contemporaine et moderne, avec une
attention porte lergonomie et charge dune certaine
sensualit.

POIGNES VENEZIA
Style, tradition, lgance, raffinement et luxe : la srie
Venezia voque ses valeurs ternelles avec ses poignes
sophistiques en verre de Murano et les teintes plus
soutenues de cette histoire ancienne : le blanc, le noir
et le bleu. Aujourdhui, nous enrichissons cette ligne de
nouveaux lments, avec le projet de deux poignes de
formes diffrentes: la premire est un disque en verre
transparent, massif et au bord facettes, qui laisse
entrevoir la srigraphie de la base, avec un surprenant
effet tridimensionnel; la deuxime a une forme fusele,
horizontale, faon levier, en mtal noir ou chrom.

MILANOSLIM OUTDOOR / MILANOSLIM EASY
Srie classique et bien affirme du catalogue de len-
treprise, MilanoSlim est une srie polyvalente dans ses
multiples applications ; elle inclut galement la version
Outdoor, la colonne de douche pour lextrieur en acier
inoxydable bross, avec support en bois feuillet Teak
Siam rsistant pour lextrieur, mme en milieu marin.
La srie senrichit de la nouvelle version MilanoSlim Easy,
avec certaines variantes au niveau du design et de la
fonction - les poignes en axe avec la colonne et sans
jets frontaux - pour fournir une alternative commerciale
simplifie et abordable une clientle plus tendue.

Le projet est n dune collaboration entre Fantini et Salva-
tori, dj en cours depuis longtemps. Les deux socits
ont une passion commune pour lexcellence et le dsir de
fusionner crativit et technologie. Lhabilet renomme schon festgelegt scheint. Ich sage daher lieber, dass
de Salvatori de transformer la pierre en belles textu-
res pour carrelages et objets cadre parfaitement avec
lexprience et les comptences de Fantini dans ce projet

sur les formes archtypales traduites en gomtrie pure
et interprtes sous un jour contemporain.
La mtaphore du rapport entre la psych et la matire,
le dialogue entre le cercle et le carr traversent toute la
collection: le lavabo est un bloc carr en marbre do

capacit de raliser le projet
