Ancient River Valley Civilization Display

You will be creating a display of one of the four river valley civilizations
that we studied in Chapter 1. In class, you were given a brief overview
of each civilization. Now, it is your job to research one of them in
depth. You will create an informational exhibit that will be displayed in
a public area of the school. Your display will be judged by a panel of
faculty members for a first and second place prize.

General requirements for the display:

You must use a tri-fold display board
You must have a three dimensional element of some sort
You will create a custom works-cited page to be turned in, but it
will not be part of the display itself
o Name or title each element on your display and include an
MLA citation for where you found the information/picture
o EX:
o Picture of the Great Pyramid at Giza

Board requirements:
Name of civilization
At least one map
Multiple graphics (can be printed)
Government
Economy
Writing system
Religion

Ideas for the board:

Important dates
Important figures from your civilizations history
Major events
Art/Architecture
Clothing
Food
Housing

Your grade will reflect the following:

Evaluation of your group member(s)
Overall presentation / aesthetic appeal of your display
Neatness and creativity
Inclusion of required elements
 Proper grammar and mechanics
