. For this to select the Options tab. 1 - When checked the program minimizes the
systray (bottom right corner of Windows near the clock). 2 - When selected dele
tes the intermediate files that the program will create and be no longer needed.
3 - In the Paths pushed the button for the CCE (MPEG2 encoder that can and shou
ld be used preferably) and look for the executable file of the CCE. NOTE: The 3r
d step is necessary only in the 1st time you use the program.
1
Tab Sources: 1 - Press Add to add to the program (s) AVI (s). Note: If the AVIs
are not selected in the correct order, can be ordered with the arrows that are a
bove the Add button The X button serves to remove that AVI is selected. 2 - Pres
sing this key can import to AVIXDVD the film's subtitles
NOTE: To add the sources (AVIS and subtitles) can use drag & drop, or you can "d
rag" files for the program.
2
3 - Choose if you want to make a PAL DVD (25.000 fps) or NTSC (29,970 FPS). 4 -
Select a working directory where the program will save all files created. NOTE:
This directory must be on a disk with about 20GB of free space (about 15GB if yo
u choose to delete the intermediate files).

On the Processes tab: 1 - Here you select, the type of process. You can choose b
etween two options: Make Files for Authoring: In this option the program creates
the necessary files (audio, video and subtitles) that can be used in an authori
ng program (eg DVD Maestro) Make DVD: In this option the program creates the Fol
ders called DVD (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) containing the VOBs. And, if selected al
so creates the ISO image ready to burn to a DVDR.

NOTE: Immediately below are the steps the program will run. The subtitle vary up
on the chosen option and this option is Make DVD still appears more step DVD Aut

d encode), an external audio file (the program only change something if needed),
or if you prefer muted (silent film :-)). 3 - Here you can choose the bitrate y
ou want for audio and if you want to use the Boost / DRC audio. It is advisable
not to tamper with the value of bitrate because AVIXDVD selects just the recomme
nded value for audio. NOTE: The boost / DRC serves to normalize the audio, ie, w
ill increase the lower frequencies and will cut the highest, but WARNING, in som
e cases can cause noise.
5
If you choose Make DVD mode will appear in the audio options is a third option t
hat you select the audio language.
*** If in Audio External Audio Source chose will appear Fit FPS used to adjust t
he audio with the video, if they have different FPS. If this setting has not yet
been made this option should be selected. (Eg the video have 25 000 FPS and aud
ios have 23,976 FPS).
6
In step Subtitles: This tab is the only program that is different for the two mo
des that the program allows. If the mode was chosen Make Files for Authoring opt
ions are: 1 - Choose the type of labels you want to create for the program that
will use Authoring. You can choose three options simultaneously generating three
different types of subtitle files. 2 - In the subtitle settings may change the
font, colors and alignment of the subtitles. And STL. SSA, as the button you cho
ose. 3 - Here are three options you can use: â ¢ â ¢ â ¢ Remove tags in the legends wi
ll take anything that is italic, bold, etc.. That come in the legends. Minimum d
uration is the minimum time that each party is on the screen (1000ms = 1sec). Se
tting frame rate used for the frame rate is equal to the subtitle of the film (i
t is recommended you select this option).
4 - By clicking on the Edit button has the ability to edit the subtitles (delete
or correct captions)
7
In the options of subtitles STL is the most important: 1 - Choose the font 2 - T
he offset in vertical alignment, ie, the margin of the legends from the bottom o
f the screen up.
8
In the options in selecting SSA Subtitles: 1 - Here you will choose the font and
size of the legend. 2 - Select the vertical edge of the subtitles (at the botto
m of the screen up). These changes can be seen in the preview window,€may be ne
cessary to press "Update" as the preview options selected.
9
If the mode of choice was Make DVD then the subtitle are: 1 - In Options Subtitl
es can change the font, colors and alignment of the subtitles. 2 - Here you choo
se the language that appears in the DVD player when you are selecting titles 3 -
Clicking the Edit button has the ability to edit the subtitles (delete or corre
ct captions)
10
In the subtitle options and the most important take into account is the followin
g: 1 - Choose the font and size of the legend of the same 2 - Here as the name s
uggests, will indicate the lower edge of the subtitles, ie, the margin ranging f
rom bottom of the screen to the bottom of the subtitles. 3 - When you press the
Update button will appear in the screen preview (right) changes.
11
Whatever the method chosen to make your DVD (Make files for DVD authoring or Mak
e) you can always edit the captions for this, the site where you select the type
that will do subtitles click the Edit button. 1 - Whenever you select a label i
t will appear on screen and this is where you can change. 2 - Deletes the select
ed caption (used to delete subtitles not interested in advertising, etc.). 3 - I
f you click on Reload subtitles the program will by the legends of origin (as th
ey were before you made any changes).
12
In step Avisynth Script, the options are: 1 - Choose if the movie is 4:3 or 16:9
. If you select will have a 4:3 final DVD which will occupy the entire screen TV
. If you select 16:9 as the movie is the original DVD (with bars above and below
). 2 - Here you can choose between AviSource or DirectShowSource. Usually the me
thod is AviSource, but sometimes it gives error and the ECC encode only 10 secon
ds of film, in which case you can resolve this error by using DirectShowSource.
3 - This window shows the script that will be created. 4 - You can preview and s
ee how the movie will be. NOTE: You can edit the avisynth script. To do this jus
t delete, change or add what you want directly from this window. Should not chan
ge unless you know exactly what you are doing!
13
In the process Encode MPEG 2, you can choose between two encoders: If you prefer
to use the QuEnc options are: 1 - Choose QuEnc 2 - Here's three options that wo
rk as follows â ¢ â ¢ â ¢ Fast - faster but lower quality final. Slow - slower but bet
ter quality final. Medium - values that lie between the other two (speed and qua
lity media).
3 - Here you can choose the priority of the program (it has 3 options, high, nor
mal, idle). This option will set the CPU utilization for the encoder to use, and
high option in Windows to give more priority to the encoder, so if you choose t
his option probably will not be able to do anything else with your computer. On
the other hand if you choose to idle the encoder will not spend so many system r
esources than the carrying both (recommended). 4 - You choose the size of your f
inal DVD, but advises not to alter this value unless you know what you are doing
.
14
If you prefer to use CCE (recommended): 1 - Choose the CCE. 2 - You choose the n
umber of steps that the CCE will run (the more the better and longer it takes to
encode), two steps might be the ideal compromise between speed and quality, alt
hough one is usually sufficient. 3 - You choose the CBR mode. The difference bet
ween the way CBR (constant bitrate) and the default mode (VBR - variable bitrate
) is the default mode that goes by the CCE bitrate in most parts of the movie wh
ere you need more (eg, scenes of much action) and less bitrate in parts where yo
u need less, so the movie gets a better overall quality, but the encode is a lit
tle slower. Mode CBR CCE bitrate goes by the same everywhere, which means that t
he quality is lower than the other way but to encode speed is higher. 4 - Here y
ou can choose the priority of the program (it has 3 options, high, normal, idle)
, which works the same way as in QuEnc.
15
*** If the mode chosen to make your DVD Make DVD is still have the option to cho
ose a file. Mpv outside and just do the DVD Authoring with AVIXDVD. In this case
though the video file is a. Mpv is always necessary for the AVIs on the sources
for two reasons. 1 - For the demuxer AVIXDVD power of the audio AVIs that will
use the DVD (unless the audio is also external) 2 - More importantly, AVIXDVD ne
ed to know the FPS of the AVIs to do some operations, then it must AVIs are in t
he sources.
16
If you choose Make DVD mode you still have options Authoring. DVD Authoring Pres
s. 1 - Here you can tell how often you want the program to create the DVD chapte
rs.€2 - Here you choose whether you want the program to create an image (. Iso)
of the final DVD.
17
3 - Once you have everything ready just click the "Submit" and the program autom
atically switches to the Log tab and it will give details of the various stages
of creating a DVD.
At any moment you want to cancel the process just go to the Processes tab, and w
here there was a button that said "Process" is now one that says "Cancel."
18
When the process is complete, the program displays the message "Process Complete
d." If the mode was chosen Make Files for Authoring, then you must use your favo
rite authoring program to create the DVD, using the files created by AVIXDVD. If
the mode was chosen Make DVD then only have to use a recording program that acc
epts DVDs Video Folders (eg Nero), or to accept. ISO (eg DVD Decrypter), open th
e VIDEO_TS folder in the program who are in the working directory, or the. ISO i
f necessary, and for the record.
