PROBLEMS. 4.

HOW CAN YOU INTEGRATE NEW TECNOLOGIES IN YOUR TEACHING?

INTRODUCTION
First of all, new technologies appear in the present- day situation in
numerous areas. They are an usual tool in the majority of activities and
contexts, in this case in the teaching context. Moreover, they are essential
to contribute in the continuous learning of the future citizens and
professionals. New technologies are related to the digital competence, so we
should refer to the royal decree 126/14 which establishes the basis
curriculum for primary education and to the Order of March 17/2015 which
develops the curriculum of Primary Education in the region of Andalusia and
provides the detailed curriculum of the first and second foreign language
and establishes the list of areas. In order to develop this competence, the
best in the teaching process when we teach a foreign language.

DIAGNOSIS
On the one hand we must emphasize that according to Novack (Theory and
practise of education 1982) the main purpose of education is transmitting to
students the knowledges they are going to need when they grow up so the
new technologies must participate in this process. They are a set of tools for
the handling and accessing to information.
Other important objective of the introduction of the new technologies in
education is to produce a different educational model and consisted with the
currents requirements as support to the classic model of teaching. Due to
the advance of the new technologies in our day to day society the network-
based language teaching (NBLT) is language teaching that involves the use
of computers connected to one another in either local or global network.
Whereas Computer Assisted Language Learning has been associated with
self-contained, programmed applications such as tutorials, drills, simulations
NELT represent a new and different side of CALL, where computer-
mediated communication (CMC) can be used for the learning to learn
teaching. This requires to transform the information into useful and
necessary knowledge and that the person will be able to select the useful
and necessary information but before they must be able to carry out an
appropriate use of this technology (computer and internet. teaching.
Moreover, the use of reference sources like corpora/dictionaries
(www.yourdictionary.com), doing online activities at specialized websites
and collecting sociocultural information all constitute other fields which are
becoming more prominent. An example is The World Wide Web which offers
a great number of information resources whose utility for language learning
is just beginning to be tapped. If students use this website, they can search
through millions of files around the world within minutes to locate authentic
materials (newspaper, magazine articles, radio broadcast, short videos,
movie reviews) that are related to their personal interests. There are also
popular programs which teachers can use such as Hot Potatoes or Neobook.
Furthermore, the Foreign Language Teachers community shares experiences
by means of their own websites, which recently have adopted the form of
blogs or weblogs. A popular new type of activities has been created for
students using internet the webquests and treasure hunts.
On the other hand, there a lot of possibilities and advantages of using new
technologies in the teaching process such as means of expression (writing,
drawing, presentations, webs), open source information (DVDs, TV, www-
internet), on-site communication site (digital whiteboard, projectors), virtual
channel of communication (forums, weblogs, wikis, e-centre platform),
It is necessary some resources as some training, adapt to new methods of
teaching-learning process so both of them teacher and student must know
how to work different methods to have succeed for example teacher can
assess their students through formative assessment or individual activities
of self-study, personal development, expansion, reinforcement or self-
assessment with the computer as support. The teacher individually will send
some exercises to their students to reinforce and access their progress.

CONCLUSION
The use of the new technologies will be present in my teaching process in all
the levels of the curriculum. In my planning I will design contextualized
activities departing from the students previous knowledges and providing
significant learning and transferable to other learning situations.
