ThealgorithmsintheSMCproductsshouldnotaffectthepowerfactorwhenrunningthemotoratfullspeed.
TheSMC3andSMCFlexareinbypassatfullspeed.Thepowerfactoratthispointshouldbethesameas
themotorpowerfactor.TheSMC50shouldberunningatfullvoltageSCRconductionatfullspeed,
thereforethepowerfactorshouldbethatofthemotorpowerfactor.Theloadofthemotorwhilerunningat
speedcanadjustthepowerfactorbutthatchangeisafunctionofthemotorload.

MonitoringthepowerfactorandtheusersettingsishowtheSMC50senseswhentogointoenergysaver
mode.

Duringcommonstarts(softstart,currentlimit,linearacceleration)thepowerfactorshouldtrackthepower
factoroftheacceleratingmotor.

Thepumpcontrolalgorithm(pumpstartandpumpstop)canshiftthepowerfactoraspartofthecontrol
algorithm.

Highlightingtheenergysavermodepreviously,whilerunninginthismode,thepowerfactorcanalsochange.
