Premise:
A human utilizes time travel to escape virtual reality after discovering truth about the physical
world being subject to alien invasion through a video game that he created.

Structure:
D42 is not ashamed. He is human and he is proud. Many humans in Sector 13 abandoned their
anthropomorphic blueprint to become one of the higher races and escape the slums.
Even so, these so called transhumans would still lick their boots. That is why D42 killed one; to
keep the human race pure. He got kidnapped soon after.
He woke up in a strange place, full of humans. They introduced themselves as assassins led by
S76. They told D42 that they knew each other in a different time, but that is not important.
Whats crucial was the revolution of the human race and D42s role in it, for the humans have
something that the other races don't; the ability to bend reality/time travel. They taught him how
to harness this power and utilize it to kill the right people which were the ones standing in the
way of the revolution. Soon enough, he rose in rank and it was time for his initiation ritual.
The seniors introduced him to a machine, a coffin-like contraption which he was asked to sleep
in. Then, he woke up. He was in a different body; a more superior human form with memories
that he never had. His skin was not made out of metal and he can see colours seamlessly
through his eyes instead of numbers, yet it feels so familiar. In front of him was an enigmatic
entity he recognized as a console and he was surrounded by thousands of excited humans who
were cheering for him. Among them was a man sitting on a throne, someone he recognized very
dearly as if they had met in a lucid dream.
When they revived him from that reality, his senses could barely interpret what he had seen. It
feels like he was god of this world that he dwells in. He wasnt wrong. S76 told him that his soul
used to inhabit the body of the man on the throne who was known as Cage. He was the one
who created the virtual tournament to allow communication with extraterrestrials. Unfortunately,
it has become a platform for the aliens to inhabit the consciousness of the humans who lost in
the tournament, including the man that used to be D42. Now, they only need to travel back in
time to the tournament when D42s consciousness was transferred into the virtual world to get
him back into his body by defeating his former self. However, they need to become
transhumans in order to qualify for the tournament thus denying their ability to time travel from
that point. They travelled back in time, became transhumans and participated the tournament.
During the tournament, S76 stole D42s opportunity to kill Cages avatar. As a result, S76 now
inhabits the body of Cage in the physical world, while Cages consciousness was transferred
into the virtual world as another D42. The assassins cause was lost along with the art of time
travelling. To make things worst, they had turned into those that they consider enemies.
D42 realized that another D42 would be somewhere in the future. With that information, he can
alter his consciousness between the two versions of himself, simulating time travel. As the
future D42, he is now enlightened with the events to come. He joins the assassins to get his
opportunity to take back what was once his.
