itwillnaturallyshiftyourposition.

beginningisthatyoucaneasilyfallasleep.Theintentionistoremainaswakefulasyoupossiblycanthroughouttheentiremeditation

teacher.
Thebasicpremiseisthatyouchoosetruthful,lifeaffirmativestatementsandrepeatthem.Butsayingthemis,initself,notenoughand
willhaveminimaleffect.Youmustalsosimultaneouslyfeeltheexperienceoftheaffirmationyouaresaying.Therefore,affirmlove,
affirmgratitude,andengageyourfeelingsatthesametime.Thiswillcreatethebalanceessentialtoholisticawarenessexpansion.
17. Sometimes when I meditate, I notice that I don't sleep as long. Why?
Ifthisishappeningtoyounow,orhashappenedtoyouinthepast,justflowwithit.
Thisexperiencehappensbecauseyourwakefulnesshasexpandedtothepointthatyouareactuallyawareyouaresleeping.
However,themindconfusesthisstatewithbeingawake.Thisisverysimilartothedeepstatesofmeditationandabsorption
discussedaboveandisactuallythesameprocess,butinadifferentcontext.Noticethatyoufeelcompletelyrefreshedinthemorning.

OnceKundalinienergyawakens,theevolutionaryspiritualjourneybegins.Overtimetheenergymovesupwardtothetopofyour
headandthecrownvortex.Asitmovesupward,itopenstheenergycentersorchakrasandfullyenergizestherelatedmeridian
system.
AsKundalinimovesupthespine,itopensandactivateseachenergycenter,thusexpressingtheenergythatitcontainsand
integratingitintoyourbeing.Onceallsevenenergycentersareopenandactivated,youexperiencethewholenessandfulfillmentofa
fullyintegratedhumanbeing.
Tryingtoforcetheexperienceisactuallycounterproductiveinthemeditativejourneyandisablocktoprogress.Meditationisabout
wakefulnessandbeingpresentinthemomentaryhappeningofconsciousness.Itisnotaboutmakingsomethinghappen.Tryingtodo
sotakesyououtofthemomentanddiminishesyourbalance.Somepeoplespendalifetimetryingtomaketheheartorthirdeyeopen
whilenotrealizingiftheyjustletgoandtrust,consciousnesswillappropriatelyorchestratetheexperience.
Youcanhoweverincreaseprecisioninyourpractice.Asanexample,theuseofHighTechMeditationincreasesbalanceandresults

mindisthinking,simplynoticethatyourmindisthinking.Butlet'scontemplatethis.Whenyousaytoyourself,"Mymindisthinking",
whoisactuallysayingthis?Itisoriginatingfromanotherlevelofyou,thelevelofyouthatisalwayswatching.Inthebeginning,thisis
subtleandmaybedifficulttonotice.Asyouprogress,however,thiswitnessinglevelofyourmultidimensionalbeingbecomes
strongerandmorepronounced.
Themindwillnevergoaway.Itwillalwaysbethemind.However,withpracticeyoucanincreasethedominanceofthewitnessing
consciousnessinthecenterofyourbeing.
Werecommendthatmeditatorsuseafocusingtechniquetocreatebalanceanddominantmentalstillness.Therearemany
techniquesincludingbreath,affirmationsandmantras.Itdoesnotmatterwhichoneyouuse,astheyareallequallyeffective.When
yourmindbecomesbalancedanddominantlystillandyouaremorefullypresent,youcandropthetechniqueandjustbewakefulin
themoment.Assoonasthemindbecomesactiveagain,resumethetechniqueandrepeatthispracticeasoftenasneeded.Intime
theneedforfocusingtechniquesdiminishes.But,don'texpectthemindtobecometotallysilentandstill.Thisisamyth.
