very much, and I would travel with my family to Korea

see snow. After we go back to Thailand, I would go with my
children to the sea for a holiday because I think children want
to travel to the sea. I want to see my children so happy when
they travel.

Lost Story
Meznah Aloyuni (Saudi Arabia)
When I traveled with my family to Turkey for the first
time, I was lost with my sister. It was the first day my family
went to the big, old shopping place. My young sister and I
walked together. After a while of walking, we wanted to go
back, but I did not remember the road very well. I felt very
scared because this was the first time I was lost.
Then we were hungry and searched for a restaurant.
When we found one, we ate a sandwich. After this, it started
raining and we felt cold and tired, and my sister was very tired
and could not walk. I tried to call my parents, but the phone
was not working because the SIM card was new and it needed
time to work.
We sat down to take a break. After that, it was getting
dark. Then we tried to ask someone where the right road was,
and he told me the place was so far away we could not walk.
You needed a taxi or metro because the place was far, four
hours walk. But I did not believe him because we came by
walking. I could not take a taxi because I did not have money,
and I could not take metro because I did not have a ticket.
I was afraid because of my young sister. Finally, we
saw my father, and my sister went to him and was cried.
The Person that I Most Respect

I will talk about a pilot, but she is not too famous. She
is a girl, and she was born in Makkah, S.A. She is the first
woman pilot in Saudi Arabia. She was like all girls; she
studied at school and then college.
One day she went to the sea with her father. Her father
saw an airplane, and he asked, What is your opinion if you
study at the Airplane Academy? She said, OK.
Her father thought and looked for an academy because
we dont have women pilots in Saudi Arabia, and we dont
have an academy for women. She couldnt go to any Airline
Academy in S.A.
Then they traveled to Jordan, and his daughter studied.
After many years, she became the first woman pilot in Saudi
Arabia. Now she is a private pilot for a prince.
Do you know who this is? Her name is Hanadi. I like
her because she did something special. I also want to be a pilot
one day. She is a great woman.
Learning a Second
Language

In my native
country, the people speak
Spanish, and I could learn
English in middle school, high school, university, and
particular classes. This is good, but it isnt best because many
people only speak Spanish. I took courses to learn English in
the school at first, but I didnt practice this language with
other people. My boss advised me to learn in another country,
so I moved to the United States.
When I arrived, many people spoke English. Every day
I take intensive courses to learn English. In the school, I have
a lot of teachers, books, papers, audios, and students where I
may practice this language every day. I take classes in
grammar, writing, conversation, reading, and listening. This is
the best for me.
After school, I visit other places where the people
speak in English. For example, I take the bus every day and
any time where I listen to the people who speak in English.
Sometimes the people talk to me and I need to talk with them.
In the beginning, I had fear. I didnt know how to speak
English, but I had knowledge about it, so my fear was to
explain myself incorrectly. Now I dont have fear because my
friend recommended me to have no fear.
Every Sunday I go to the church where I speak with
American people in English all the time. I am also living with
a host family who are native of United States. I live there with
other people from other countries, so we always use only
English. The houses owner asks me about my day every day,
and I need to explain what I learned in classes that day.
Really, I like to learn and speak English with other
people.
Stuck Car

When I was 14 years old, I was with my family at
Shegeg Beach. When we finished eating lunch, all my family
went to bed to take a nap except my two brothers and me.
Mohammed was eight years old, and Besam was six. I stole
my fathers car key and took my brothers to the grocery.
After we bought some snacks, we went back. When I
was driving back, I thought, Why dont I go near the sea? so
I drove up the sand. Suddenly the car was stuck! I turned and
turned to get out. I engaged the 4 X 4, and everything I could
do, I did, but the car didnt want to move. I tried to open my
door, but I couldnt. Then I saw through the window the sand
had moved up to my door! We left the car quickly through my
brothers door. When we were outside, I saw half of the car
was under the sand. My brothers were scared, and I was more
scared than them.
I didnt know what I should do. I waited for help, but
no one saw me because I was far away. Then I surrendered. I
called my father and told him what happened. He tried to
come to me, but he didnt have a car because I had stolen it.
He waited in the street until someone took him to us.
When he came, I was very scared so I stayed away
from him. Then he laughed, and I was surprised. After that, he
said, You stole my car; thats OK, but why did you come
here? Did you want to swim with the car? and laughed. Then
he called someone to pull the car out.
Finally, we went home and he said, Dont do that
again, and I never did. I learned from this experience. If I am
not sure if something is right or wrong, I should ask.
My First Snow

Snow is not
common in my
country, Venezuela,
but its very common
in the winter in
United States. My
first snow was in the
United States in
Nashville.
It was on January 6, 2017 with my family. That day, I
was traveling to Memphis, and suddenly it started to snow. I
could not believe it! I was very surprised because I never saw
the snow, and this was new for me. It was an awesome
experience. Then, I returned home because the snow is not
good for travel.
When I got home, it was snowing more than when it
started. There was a lot of snow on my clothes and in my hair.
Hendersonville was very white, and it was very beautiful. It
was really an enjoyable moment for me. Therefore, I took
many pictures because I wanted to have a memory of this.
After that, I drank coffee because the weather was very
cold and I dont like the cold. However, I enjoyed the cold of
that day, and I love it.
Finally, when it finished snowing, the whole street did
not have cars because there was too much snow and it was
dangerous to drive. Because of this, all people were relaxing at
home and enjoying the moment.
 Writing Four
Living in a Town or Living in a Big City

There are a lot of people who have chosen to live in a town or a big city because it is
enjoyable and they are happy. There are both differences and similarities between living in
a town and living in a big city. Among them are comfort, safety, and friendship.

Living in town is more comfortable. For example, a town does not have long roads but big cities have many
long roads. They also have noise that bothers people who live there.

A town is a safer place because it has a lot of people near other people's houses. However, the big city is not
safe because people are always busy.

In addition, in a town, you can make a lot of friends because you are close to each other. For example, a
town has a lot of small neighborhoods. In contrast, the big city people are not close to each other because they live
far away.

Soccer Vs Football

Do you like soccer or football? These are two of the most popular sports around the world. Which one do you
prefer? Soccer and football have differences in three key areas such as the game's rules, duration time, and the
referees.

Soccer is a game known around the world where two teams of eleven players kick around ball to score into
the opponent's goal. But there is a rule: players cannot touch the ball with their hands or arms during play, except for
the goalkeeper. Moreover, this game has a duration of 90 minutes (two halves of 45 minutes each one) and in some
competitions they play an extra time of 30 minutes if the game is tied. Also a soccer game has 4 referees. Each one
of them has an assignment to keep order and make players respect the rules. One of them is the principal referee that
receives help from the others 3 referees.

On the other hand, football is a sport originally from U.S and is very popular in this country.
The game consists in confronting the offense line against the defense line of two teams. The
offense has 4 opportunities or downs to advance at least 10 yards by running or passing the oval
ball, while the defense has to try to stop them. Moreover, the game has a duration of 60 minutes
and is divided into two halves of 30 minutes and 4 quarters of 15 minutes. Another key point is
about referees. They are 7 referees all around the field. All referees together have the responsibility
to enforce the games rules but each one has different duties.

Therefore, either of those sports would be an excellent choice to practice and play.
However, I would rather play soccer. It is easier for me to understand the rules and how to play
because I have been playing this sport for 14 years.
 Learning from Books or Life

People all over the world learn daily from life or from the experiences of others. But
some people learn from books if they love reading books. Also, some people like learning
from other people and I like that because I don't like reading. I think that it's boring.

I believe that learning from life is the same as learning from books. They all teach
me but the difference between them is very important because learning from life makes me experiment and teaches
me. Learning from books is just learning to me and I believe we need to experiment and then learn. I am better at
learning from life because of that.

Learning from books gives me some things that learning from life can't, such as learning before making a
mistake by learning from the experience of others. Also, the books give me more information about anything and at
any time. We just need to read and we need to like reading. Only one hour everyday is good for learning. Some
books talk about how you can live and be happy or how you can be successful in this life. Those books help me in
life and I need to read everyday.

To learn new things we can choose either way. We have more ways to learn and we just need to choose a
good way and then do it. To be successful in this life, we need to learn again and again from books or from life or
from anything. We just have to learn.

A Good Citizen

What does the word "citizen" mean to you? Many people want to be good citizens in their country and there
are two characteristics that make a person a good citizen: responsibility and action.

First, responsibility is really important in a community because if we feel responsibility in our community,
we can make a great community. For example, if we think not throwing cans on the ground is our responsibility, we
are able to create a clean community. Also, we can try to fix any problem in our country, and can be on hand to fix
the country. We can also call 911 to help a person whom you found.

Second, action means doing good things your country, such as volunteering. Volunteerism makes people
friendly with each other. When scientists run statistics for countries that have many volunteers and for countries
which do not, they find the countries with many volunteers have more friendly ways to volunteer. For example,
visiting the elderly makes you a good citizen and is kind because when the elderly see someone who takes care of
them, it makes them feel better.

In conclusion, many people want to be good citizens in their country and there are two things that make a
person a good citizen: responsibility and action.
 Learning from Books and Learning from Life Experiences

Learning is the most important aspect in our lives. Other lives need to learn their abilities in a short time. For
example, lambs learn to walk in three hours but people take a long time to learn their abilities. People need to have
a lot of time, two years, to learn to walk, five years to think, 15 years to be independent so the learning method is so
valuable.

We can learn about life in other ways. For example, learning from books, learning from life experiences,
learning from watching, seeing, looking, making mistakes. The most important is learning from books and learning
from life experiences.

Learning from books is more useful especially than learning from life experiences because we don't have all
of life experiences. For example, surviving a volcano eruption. We don't learn how to survive because we don't
have that life experience. However, we can learn how from a book. So, we can learn from books if we want to
learn dangerous or unacceptable events.

Sometimes we just read a book about one topic. If we don't have life experience, we cannot exactly
understand what it means. For example, we read about scientific events. We memorize but we can feel we don't
understand because scientific events are abstract. Therefore, we need to try life experience. We read about "rain".
If we experiment, we can understand easily. We can observe boiling something so we can see vaporizing water.
We can put a cover on and see the vaporizing water under the cover. We take off the cover and water drops to the
ground. After this experiment, we can understand rain exactly.

Sometimes, when we learn from a book, we develop our dream. Our brain is working more quickly while we
are reading so we can find a various ways to understand. In contrast, while we are learning from life experiences,
we can see consequences.

In summary, we can learn from both books and life experiences. We should use both of them. Firstly, we
read books about a topic. Afterwards, it is possible we can try a life experience. In addition, we can read about life
experience. So we should focus on our choice and we should determine the true technique: learning from books or
learning from life experience.

Having Your Own Business or Working for Someone Else

Having your own business and working for someone else is very different.
Having your own business means working for yourself. Having your own business is
better than working for someone because when you have your own business, people
work for you. That means you create jobs for people.

Working for someone else is going to one company and working for that
company. You only get paid once a week or once a month.

The similarity is both mean work and making money. How people make money
for their lives is either working for themselves or for someone else.
 Mum vs. Dad

Everyone knows the important people in the family. Mum and Dad can make the
family happy. Each has a different personality in different situations; each behaves
differently when they are happy, sad, and having a difficult time.

First of all, every parent tries to make their family happy. So my Mum tries to make
me happy in front of me, and my Dad tries to do the same thing, make me happy, behind
me. For example, my Mum describes to me my good qualities in front of me and other
people, to make me proud of myself. My Dad has a different way of making me happy. For
example, when my university did not accept me, he went to the director to try to get me into
this university.

Communication

Face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication because with face-to-face
communication, we can show or mime and show our feelings, but with other types of communication, we cant
show body language and emotion.

Face-to-face communication is the best type of communication because for communication, when we look at
each other, showing body language is the most important part of communication. With face-to-face communication,
we can understand each other more than other types, and mistakes can happen less than with other types. For
example, for communication now, we have a lot of opportunities, but some companies for important meetings, dont
use these opportunities. Meetings will even cost too much because for some meetings they need to pay for the trip,
for the hotel, or maybe for other things. Even so, companies usually prefer face-to-face communication because they
are trying to get more of a benefit!

On the other hand, we cant communicate face-to-face all the time. Sometimes, maybe even most of the time,
we have to use other types of communication such as phone, text, e-mail, Skype, and Facebook. Now, to
communicate how we are feeling, we can use emojis to show the other person, but emojis do not work all the time
because some emojis can have different meaning for other people.

However, reading a persons texts and hearing their voice are types of communication that we can use and
are using for now. But without face-to-face communication, we can misunderstand each other. We cant show how
we are feeling, and we cant show emotions. For example, I cant show another person if I am serious or if I am
happy.

In short, in the current world, we have a lot of opportunities for communication, but face-to-face is always
better than the other types because feeling and emotion are so important.
 Play An Instrument

Many people can play an instrument, but how many people do it well? We
can say that the qualities that differentiate an amateure from a professional musician
are two: perseverance and talent.

Perseverance is important in a musician because playing an instrument needs constant practice. One of the
best violinists of all time, Jascha Heifetz said, If I dont practice one day, I notice. If I dont practice two days, the
critics notice, and if I dont practice three days, the audience notices it. A musician doesnt forget to play for one
day, but it is difficult to play the same piece with the same speed and technique. A study done in 1990 by Swedish
psychologist K. Anders Ericsson revealed that the best musicians are 20 years old and have practiced 10,000 hours,
the average musician, 8,000 hours, and the mediocre musicians, only 4,000 hours. Practice can fuse the mind and the
hands at a level where it only flows.

Talent reveals little hints to the musician that most people dont see. There are even some people that can
recognize a musical note, only be hearing it. This is called an absolute ear. Some scientists affirm that talent
comes by genetics. Many sons of famous musicians are talented--for example, James McCartney, Sean Lennon, and
Elot Summer, the daughter of Sting. All of them are good musicians because they carry talent in their veins.

In conclusion, perseverance and talent help. We practice to have good technique in our execution, and talent
makes it magic.

Best Friend

What does a best friend mean? A best friend is a true friend for you and the nearest friend to your heart.
Consequently, a best friend is a special friend in your life because they are always honest with you. There are two
qualities of a true friend: honesty and helpfulness.

First of all, I will talk about honesty. A true friend should be honest another friend for ever. For example,
when your friend needs to get the same job as you, but he or she doesnt know about the rules, you should give him
or her true information about the job and clearly explain the jobs disadvantages. A true friend never lies to their
friend.

The second quality is helpfulness. A best friend always tries to be useful. For example, when you study with
your friend in the same department, and you have a lot of information about this department, you should give your
friend any useful information you have.

In conclusion, a best friend is always honest. Also, he or she gives you useful advice for your life and tries to
help you be successful. So my advice for you is: when you choose a best friend, make sure that they are the best
possible person for your life.
 The Internet

Why is the internet important for many people? Only 20% of the worlds population,
slightly more than one billion people, are permanent users of internet services. There are two
types of online communities: the black internet and the normal internet.

The first kind is the black internet. Black internet users are unknown people. Also, they are dangerous. They
use the internet to do things that violate the law, for example, the sale of human organs, hiring hitmen, and selling
drugs. Not everyone can browse the black internet.

The second kind is normal internet. The users are known people. They use it for many things, for example,
for work, study, or looking for different kinds of information. In addition, everyone can use the normal internet, for
instance, at a university, you must take some of the exams online.

in all, many people use the internet. But there are different types of online communities--there are the black
internet and the normal internet. My advice is to use caution when using the internet.

Communication

There are many ways to communicate with other people. There is face-to-face communication, and other
types such as: text, e-mail, and phone calls.

Face-to-face communication is better than other types; I totally agree with this because I think when we talk
with each other, I feel when you are happy or sad. We can see the reaction in our faces. And when we text each
other, send e-mails, or make phone calls, we cant see the reaction. Then maybe we misunderstand something.

Finally, I agree that face-to-face communication is best with family, friends, and in business.

Education
Maha Alnawfal (Saudi Arabia)

Education is important for health of the mind. There are two differences between online education and
traditional education: quality of learning and interaction.

First of all, traditional education has a better quality of learning than online education. One of the things that
makes traditional education have higher quality is classmate support. For instance, when someone doesnt
understand the teacher, they can ask their classmates for clarification.

Next, interaction is another important part of education. Online education has less interaction between
students and teachers. Likewise, the students can contact their teachers with a message, but they cannot see their
teacher and talk to them face-to-face. On the other hand, traditional education has the best
opportunities for interaction for both students and teachers. For example, the teachers can
connect with students more easily while discussion topics one-on-one.

In short, the quality of learning and interaction are different between online education
and traditional education. Unlike online education, traditional education leads to the
improvement of social skills.
 The Effects of Sleeplessness
Wenxuan Zhang (China)

Sleeplessness is a bad illness. In China, 3% of people have slight or serious sleeplessness. The effects of
sleeplessness are: difficulty studying and accidents.

First of all, if we are students and we dont get enough sleep, its very bad. We can hardly study when we
dont sleep. For example, if tomorrow we have a test but we had insomnia the night before, we couldnt review for
the test. That will lead to poor grades. Poor grades will affect our area of study. Additionally, if we have
sleeplessness, we are less sharp. For example, when we were children, we slept a lot of the time because our brain
needed to relax to be strong. In fact, not only children need to relax their brans with sleep, but adults do too.

In addition, some accidents are caused by lack of sleep. For example, when we experience sleeplessness, we
may have micro-sleep. Micro-sleep means little sleep, maybe only three to five seconds. If you close your eyes,
accidents happen. Also, if we have insomnia, our brains are weaker. Maybe we make a
mistake with traffic lights, or our car hits another car.

Difficulty studying and accidents are two effects of sleeplessness. Not only in China,
but all around the world, we know that many people have sleeplessness. We need to avoid
this illness. For example, we should exercise or eat healthy food. Sleeplessness is very bad.

A Best Friend

When I was a child, I wanted to know what it was to have a best friend. Many people define a best friend as
someone that listens to you--that person who stays with you always, in good times and in bad. Additionally, I think
that a best friend is the person who always brings his or her help, love, and care.

There are different types of personalities, and each friend has something special to offer you. I had a friend
that, if I called him, in five or ten minutes he was in the front door of my house--but he couldnt help me go
shopping.

I believe that if someone cant help you do something, another person can help you. That is the case of my
Mom. She has always stayed with me. She joins me to go shopping, to cut my hair; I consider her my friend.

Actually, now I am an adult and I have a clear idea

of who my best friend is. So far, he has helped me,
listened to me, talked to me, protected me, and Im sure
that he will stay with me forever. He is God and I love
him; he is my best friend.

Women at Home vs. Women at Work

It is a controversial topic because some people believe that the women should be at home but
the others believe that women should be at work. So, for many decade the women have been
taking care about the home and the men support economically the home but actually that has been
changing because now women can make many different things at the same time and help
economically the home in reason to have better things and better life. But today we will review
four important characteristics that help us to understand why the woman should work. Such as,
their independence, their economic, their goals and develop their personalities.

First, some people think that women just must take care about their children and their
husband at home since, this is their role in the life. They think that because our ancestors practiced
that in the past for amount of time but now the law is different, that has been changing and we are
able to make better things and decisions. One of those decisions is improve the women to be
independent; they can decide work while they take care of their home. Every day we try to make
a solution from each problem that make more easier be able to do both things, such as, day care,
restaurants, housekeeper, nanny, etc. That thing are useful for us to improve the best way both
actions.

Second, most of the people are concerned that the women dont need money because men
paid every thing at home. Some men give them some money to spend however they want but in
the practice that is not true. However, some men give them money but that money is not used
exactly for them to their personal necessities. It will be used in the food, cloths, cleaning by the
family. On the other hand, I think that women must take a salary every month in reason to their
hard work to use what ever they want. For example, women love buying new clothes, making their
hair, making their nails that make feel happy to them. Although, women are receive less money
for their work than the men, the society has been resisting to paid the same salary. So, There has
been much discussion regarding "why women still can't have it all," as The Atlantic wrote on its
cover last year in reference to the struggle to balance careerism with family life. Bureau of Labor
Statistics numbers show how much the difficulty still exists. The weekly earnings of men and
women working full time, for example, have narrowed among women under 35 years old. In 2011,
women 16-24 took home 92.5% of the amount similarly aged men make each week. Those 25-34
bring in almost the same (92.3%). Women 35 and older, however, make less than 80% of what
men do.

Third, for several times the companies has been contract men for their task. Some companies
thinks that men are more focus in his jobs and they are more responsible then the women but now
the women are demonstrated that that is not how they says. The women have been taking new risk
for many last years that we can see. Furthermore, Pemberton, Luthi and Ochenkowski saw the
opportunities for career success, and all three say there are traits inherent in women that were
essential to the risk management function. Statistics back up these feelings; according to at least
two studies conducted in the last four years, evidence suggests that women are more risk averse
than men, which helps them make more sound financial decisions than their male counterparts.

take care of the women, many companies has avoid contracted women in their buildings.

Finally, for this three points, women are able to take many help that make their families and
they lives more success, developing their abilities at home and at job to the maximum because
men and women are equal and we can take the same opportunities.

 Parents Should Not Give Their Children Everything That They Want

When you were a child , did your parents give you all the things that you want or not? I
remember one time when I was in the middle school all my friends had Black Berry phones , and I
really wanted one to be like them. My dad never listened to me, and said that is not good for you
and said to me some causes. In that time, I was always angry about why he didnt buy it for me,
but after that I understood it was not good for me in that time.You shouldnt give your child every
thing he/she wants.

When the people think about my topic, they will say not and we dont agree with you because
we have to: love our children , be good parents , and we dont want feel guilty.This what parents
think about their children, did they think about their child future and if they do this how his/her
personality will be.?

For the parents who said, if we give our children all the things they want that means we love
them. In my opinion, that is absolutely not right way to love your children, and there are a lot of
other ways to sense your child with love. Some of these ways are playing with the child inside or
outside of the house, and do something different from the usual, like go iceskating, go swimming,
and do some kinetics games.

The second, the parents who said if we give our children the things that they want that mean
we are good parents this is wrong think about parenting. If you want to be good parents, you can
make a dialogue with your child , and know why he or she wants it! Also you can find a way to
negotiate with your child and see whats the best for him or her. For example, before two years,
my brother sons wanted a PS3 and they were just 5 and 6 years old and in that time it wasnt good
for them. Also they cant understand most of the things about this device.So my brother talked to
them, and persuaded them because in this time its not good for them. When he sees the right time,
he will buy it for them. Then, he buys them other kinds of toys.
 The third, the parents who said they dont want feel guilty, do you think if you said for your
child no that means youre guilty? Absolutely not, you have to think about the good for your
child, and you dont have to do everything they say.When you just buy for your child, and always
listen to him or her, in that case you are really guilty parents, and you just find the easier way to
avoid your responsibility towards your child.

In my opinion, we have to let our children try, and feel that you will not have all the things
when you just want, you have to work for it, and in some cases you have to patient for the good
time to get it.If we just give them the things we will keep them from growing up, and they will
lose their childhood live.There is some research about the children who got all the things, and their
parents did all the things for them. Now they are unable to have any responsibility, and they dont
have the ability to succeed at their jobs.

In addition, we won't let our children feel theyre in control. If we just do what they say, they
wont listen to us, and they will not have reference to return to him or her. That doesnt help them
in their lives. While they are growing, and in the future, we have to let them make mistakes to
learn from it because when they did it they will never forget it. Furthermore, we must put some
rules for them, and if they dont follow the rules, theyll not get what they want. For example,
when the child wants to go to his friend, and he didnt finish his homework, in this case we have
to say no, and if they want to go, first finish all their homework.

We have to put them in the right way, to build their personality, and raise the level of their
thinking, because if we establish them from the first years of their life until eighteen years old, that
will really help them in their life. Furthermore, there are no problems if we ask them about their
future plan, and if we see some thing wrong or will not help them, we can recommend them about
it. Because, always the person who is older than you, he or she has more knowledge than you.For
example, until now if I have something I dont know about, and I really need it, I go back to my
parents, and ask them, because they are the only two people who want the best for me. They have
had experience for a lot of years.

In conclusion, this is a true point we have to pay attention to it, and we have to not tolerate
with it. At the beginning we will see its a hard decision for our children. However, we will see the
result when our children become old in their age, and we will see it in their successful life.

 Teaching Children Patriotism

Although many people believe that teaching their children patriotism is important, patriotism is sometimes
an inappropriate idea to manipulate the people by wrong persons. So we have to keep properly distance from
patriotism in some reasons and teach our children how dangerously and easily this idea insinuates into our mind.

First, thinking basic idea of patriotism, many people believe that patriotism is a common idea related to
loving the country and everybody has to be proud of the own country. However, in reality, you didnt choose your
own country at birth and it is a kind of biological accident where you were born. We have to teach our children that
you have to be proud of your achievement you make, not the country you are given. According to The New York
Times, theres been a sharp decline in American patriotism. Today, only 52% percent of Americans are extremely
proud of their country, a historical low. In my opinion, this number seems to be still really high.

Second, thinking of the utility of patriotism, many people believe that patriotism for the country increases
self-affirmation because everybody needs to belong their own country and it makes our life very confident.
However, in reality, this is a too large an idea not to support your confidence because you always have to turn your
minds to small things around you. So you had better serve, for example, your real friends in your life, not the
country. While recognizing your own culture and your identity is important, patriotism forces unconditionally to
devote to the country, and as a result it denies individual power that you have cultivated. Imagine theres no
counties. It isnt hard to do(Lennon). This message is very simple and still very powerful for us.

Conclusion, teaching their children patriotism is said to be important because many people take it for
granted that people have to be proud of their own country. However, this idea insinuates into your childrens mind
and destroys their thinking. The efficacy of patriotism is like MSG. So just like not using MSG for childrens meal,
you had better avoid using patriotism for childrens education.

 How The Evolution of Technology Affects People

For many decades human beings have lived with technology that they themselves have created and
developed. Every day technology advances faster and shows new options to do the same function better than
the past with thousands of innovations in all industry areas. This evolution is affecting people in different
aspects and levels of their lives, as well as having an impact on the economy and society. Andrew McAfee, a
scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, says, "Machines
are learning to do human things that they never, ever could do before" (Sherman and Zissou). Technological
advances represent an increase of the economy, but there is a consequence; human workers have been
replaced by machines over time. Actually, we have in our society robots and smart machines doing peoples
work. Robots do not get sick, do not receive payment, and do not take time to eat. When the owners of some
companies check high hiring cost and the same average in production over time, they can invest in
technology and exchange workers for robots. This situation has relevant causes and different effects; the first
cause is how the robots doing jobs, and the second cause is the nature for specific work. In consequence, the
positive and negative effects are related to society, government, and daily life.

One cause is that robots can do jobs faster and easier than human workers, thereby increasing
production levels; this means more product in less time, and more sales and profits -- in one word, efficiency,
directly related to skills. Most jobs involve processes with functions for workers in a mechanical way
because workers may have learned how to do their job, but they do not always have the opportunity to
develop their skills to improve their job. This is one reason more companies are replacing human workers
with machines.

In addition, the second cause is the nature of specific work that does not require advanced
professional skills; this is a disadvantage but it is the reality. There are many kinds of jobs where human
workers are replaced by robots or smart machines; at hospitals, supermarkets, and restaurants robots do
medical tests, offer self-cashier, and self-service orders.

The high hiring cost and low professional skills that caused the replacement of human workers by
robots has relevant effects to society. According to research at Oxford University in England, almost all of
the middle jobs in United States which includes 70% of low professional skills, are at risk of being replaced
by technology in the next two decades (Sherman and Zissou).
 One of these negative effects is an increase in the unemployment rate. Since the Industrial
Revolution, human workers have been replaced by machines. The amount of human workers without jobs
increases as technology evolves. The Economist Brian Arthur has a speculation that by the year 2025, about
40 million human workers may be replaced by robots if one part of the economy has all its transactions
between computers. This virtual economy is real, but its principal component is to replace human workers by
computers (Davidow and Malone). Today when anyone does any bank transaction or buys a video game
from a computer, this virtual economy is used to make business and economic transactions by computers
with sophisticated code, displacing human workers.

The second negative effect is how the unemployment rate directly influences government role with
aid that it dispenses. Every year the government has forecasts and estimates budgets for financial assistance,
but what will happen if the unemployment rate increases over time without planning? The government may
have to designate resources from other departments and some important project could be in standby mode,
which in turn would delay another project as well, like a boomerang effect. One choice that could be helpful
for government is check the planning of rate unemployment in short periods of time to have correct financial
aid amount and avoid delay of projects.

The last negative effect is the emotional state of people who lost their job, as well as that of their
families. Their quality of life could be affected by that situation and this could change goals and projects that
they had planned for their future. Moreover, getting a new job not is easy and requires time and effort; this
process could be frustrating for unemployed people, even more when smart machines are eliminating
opportunities for work. Many times this situations could endanger family ties and result could be couple
divorce, even after many years of marriage; this effect does not cross for robots mind.

On the other hand, the evolution of technology has variety of positive impact, as well. One of the
positive effect is convenience for people who receive services from companies that replaced workers by
machines; basically it helps save time. For example, people do not make long lines to pay for their food at the
supermarket or they do not wait hours to be served in a hospital for a examination test. If somebody is
starving and going to a restaurant, they do not have to wait for a server to take their order while he finishes
with other tables. All these situations mean if the clients of these companies were well attended and service is
fast, customers will return and will buy again.

Finally, it is a fact that the evolution of technology is moving companies to replace workers with
robots or smart machines, but the most important result of this situation is forcing human beings to improve
their professional skills and knowledge to advance the world, because nobody can forget that human beings
are the ones who created robots.

 The Power of Words in the World

Words are ways to help people realize their dreams. Words can beat people or discourage
them from making their goals come true. Every day people talk and they use different kinds of
words, but has anyone wondered if words can really create their future? Could that be real? In fact,
if people really try to remember what words other people say to them this day and how they feel at
that time, maybe they will realize that words have a real effect. Words are like medicine; if they
are used in the right way, people will feel better and they can heal them, but if used in a wrong
way, words will discourage or even kill. Killing does not only mean hurting the body, but also
hurting the soul. Although many people think that words do not have a real effect (because many
people have tried to discourage them and they have still made their goals come true and have
overcome what others said about them), it is clear that words have a real effect because of several
reasons: the words can change the structure of physical things, the words reprogram the
unconscious minds, and the words affect peoples reactions and emotions.

First, in spite of the fact that we can say the words very easily, words still have much
power. The positive and negative words can alter the structure of things to be better or worse than
before. Words influence and shape the values inside people so they have to be more cautious about
the words they say every day. For instance, in 1994, this theory was tested by a researcher named
Masaru Emoto. He had the idea of freezing water with a microscope; he tried to grow snow
crystals after spending two months making mistakes. The crystals came from a mysterious world.
He researched many kinds of water such as: river and lake water, but these kinds of water did not
develop or give him crystals. On the other contrary, he took water from a hospital and tried to say
good words, play music, pray, and show it pictures. As a result of spoken words, the structure of
water changed depending on what kind of words he said. If it was positive, the structure would be
like a crystal, but if it was negative, the structure would be ugly (Emoto). This shows that words
can really change the environment, so it has real power.

Secondly, most people think that in the first moment of hearing words we can remove the
impact of words; however, the unconscious mind saves the words anyone hears or writes. More
than half of these control the mind and the body; they follow the order from the unconscious mind.
For example, all of the actions, beliefs, reactions, memories, and emotions can shape the character
depending on the information in the unconscious mind. So the words have a real impact on most
parts of the body. According to (The Effect of Emotional Content on Brain Activation and the
Late Positive Potential in a Word) peoples minds depend on the unconscious part. Most things
that they have depend on this region, such as social values, ideas, communication, and causes. To
make equilibrium in the memory function, some research studied the results of using specific
words. To see how long memories were affected, the results between positive and negative words
were studied. Each word was saved in the memory and make effect on the brain by making it
undeveloped depend on how it was difficult to hear; if the word was a little difficult to hear it
would make the brain go back one step, if the word was medium-difficult to hear, it would make
the brain go back two steps, and if the word was very difficult to hear, it would make the brain go
back three steps (Kopf).

Finally, even though most people believe that people can control their bodies without any
complicated options, the reality is that peoples reactions and emotions are creating from the
words they hear and say; depending on which words they say, they will act and behave. Each word
people desire can rewire their emotions and brains. The words are like spirits; when they say
something, they will reprogram their body again. According to Meacham, neuroplasticity means
the minds ways to invent itself. Thus, this means that people can reprogram their brains by the
recurrence of words with concentration and thought to alter it for better or worse. Additionally,
this reiterates that the words have linear and quick impact on peoples emotional and mental
responses. The words that are said influence peoples responses, repeating in their mind. Being
careful about this makes their mind connect positively by using affirming pictures and feelings.
For example, Meacham sites an example where directors (employers) should pick their words with
much care because it will impact the work of the employees and affect the employees
imagination. In addition, use words within carefully; we should be conscious about the result of
our words on our brains (Meacham). The words have much power to reform our believes, value
and responds by focus and rebating them and make quick direct effect on the emotions and brain.

According to Dr. Sadeghi, life looks more like a flux of power than a group of rigid
things. If we are aware about the power that our minds have on our feeling, we can make
thoughtful choices to change our reality to what we want. When we feel discouraged, we can
restructure our morale from negative to positive status by looking for new perspectives, being
more active, and forgetting old mistakes. Words have so much energy; we can use them to raise,
empower, and develop our life. Not noticing how the words we speak, read, and hear from others
can impact our personal lives. We must choose our words because it can structure our beliefs, and
as a result they can shape our world. Words are powerful, evoking our feelings and reactions from
the moment we hear them (Sadeghi).

Another example of this comes from a book written by King Solomon. It is about the
energy of words. He said, Death and life are in the power of the tongue. The words have power to
kill and give life by their impact; if it is affirming, it will grant life by cheering up and if it is
negative, it will shoot by flames and snares. We use the words to cause positive conclusions by
being industrious and protecting our heart. He continues, above all else, guard your heart, for
everything you do flows from it (The Power of Words). The consequences of words are more
powerful than what we can imagine, so they can give a person life by encouraging that person, or
make him die by making him hopeless and causing him to give in.

In conclusion, the words have a strong impact on the structure of things, the unconscious
mind, and our emotions and reactions, so make sure to be careful about the words you use and say
everyday. We should approach using words in right ways and teach others about what are the
benefits. Words can give life or death by their effects on people; if they are positive, they will give
life by encouraging others; if they are negative, they will kill people oppressing them and causing
them to give in to the power of words.

There are many different sports in the world. Some of these are extreme sports and are entirely
different from others such as climbing, diving, and mountaineering. Most people do not want to try them because
they have lots of risks. Extreme Sports do not like general sports and activities; additionally, athletes need to be
athletic because of risks (Microsoft Encarta Online Encyclopedia). Extreme sports are different from others,
need ability and strength. People who decide to do extreme sports do not care how risky it is. They are motivated
by curiosity, a desire to take risks and a need for adrenaline. On the other hand, it can affect human in spiritual,
physical and emotional, ways.

People should know before they begin that extreme sports can be addictive. They may feel a sense of
curiosity to explore nature and they can get some adrenaline. After that, they probably want to try again.
Moreover, extreme sports are preferred by people who are open for the innovative things and curious about
nature. While playing soccer, playing basketball, or just visiting gym a couple day in a week is enough for some
people. Extreme sports athletes have desire to take risks and choose an extreme sport -or just a sport. Everyone
has just one life; make it interesting.

The thing is after people decided to start extreme sports, they have to become aware of risks. Curiosity
can be dangerous if they cannot control it. For this reason, people have to be careful regarding necessities of
extreme sports. However, as is well known, if they dont care about of the risks, a mistake may occur and a little
mistake can even lead to death. Moreover, there are three main effects on extreme sports; spiritual, psychical and
emotional.

First, adrenaline is the most important part of these kind of sports. Extreme sports as skydiving,
wingsuit flying or bungee jumping can give people some adrenaline. Consequently, they get used to feeling
over-excited and days of their life can evolving slowly. Thus, people who are interested in extreme sports can
escape from monotony and can set milestones on their lifeline. Moreover, every experience will be different
from each other. Thus, they can get many experience that they can share with someone.

Second, besides the emotions, there are some spiritual things. A close call, as when you have a non-fatal
accident, enable one to approach to the end with understanding. At this time, are unimportant like money,
reputation, or diplomas when compared to human life. Furthermore, most of the extreme sports are done alone. If
someone decides to climb a mountain, they will speak with nature, will greet stones and trees. This is the best
way to understand that the human race is not special in the world; they are just a part of this nature who will be
erased from this world in the future. Moreover, if someone visits again any place which is they had visited
before, they may feel as if they have seen their friend again. In this way, extreme sports are truly important for
being human and being part of a nature.

Last, they should know that there are not only good effects in extreme sports. According to the National
Electronic Injury Surveillance System, more than 4 million people have been injured in extreme sports from
2000 to 2011 (Brody). Also extreme sports can lead to death or they may have to give up entire sports. Except
people who are interested in extreme sports, their family and friends can worry about them. In this direction,
extreme sports are serious sports and need attention. They have to be careful and aware, their eyes have to be
open all the time.

To sum up, people can see that there are many differences between common sports and extreme sports
which are cave diving, ice climbing or mountaineering. Also, extreme sports can give people some spiritual and
emotional benefits; however, there are also inherent dangers that may eclipse these benefits. Finally, the most
necessary thing to start extreme sports is being curious and determined, and having a desire to take risks.

with modern science. These kinds of subjects usually have illusory results because those are not popular and
common between the people nowadays, so people should search and make sure about the possibility of dream
control before they experience it. There is not stronger evidence to support any theory than a real story. The story of
Jessica E. Netherlands, former student of the online course in lucid dreaming, when she found herself controlling her
dream is the support of dream control's possibility. One of the most famous civilizations
that used dream control was the ancient Egyptians. The same as every complex thing,
dreamers need to do many steps to have the appropriate circumstances of dream control.
The steps that most experts follow are separated into three main parts: recording your
dreams, practicing wakefulness, and getting control in dreams. While being able to control
your dreams is a benefit that you may get, the overlap that happens between real life and
dream life is significantly a negative consequence. I believe that experiencing this kind of
soulful action is terrific, yet the danger of it makes me wary.

business through their electronic devices? It is a fact that e-commerce cut the cost of doing business in many ways
such as allowing the use of less man power to conduct a business, facilitate companies to have more clients world
wide, and reduce the traveling cost. But traditional market is here to stay for the experienced traders who like to
interact with their suppliers to make sure that the product they are purchasing is trustworthy and to build strong
relationships in order to avoid misunderstandings. Thus, e-commerce will never replace traditional markets in the
near future.

different arguments for Gun Control. There are several points discussed: hunting down the meaning of the Second

Supreme Court of the United States believes that the Second Amendment protects the right to retain and carry
weapons for self-defense. There are three supports: protection and the right to bear legal responsibility, the
amendment of carrying weapons for hunting, and protecting and supporting the holding of weapons. There is also
the concern of gun control for dangerous criminals or dangerous courts. Concerns include previous court decisions,
commercial crime, and reducing violence. The question of whether people should
own a gun is controversial. In my opinion, people should have a gun because of
safety, but the government should control the numbers of guns.

Did you know that an average Mexico City resident spends around 2 hours each day stuck in traffic in order
to commute or go elsewhere (Alvarez)? Mexico is considered one of the most populated cities on the world and its
citizens move on a day-to-day basis, making pollution levels sharply increase while significantly affecting the
environment. Strategies to encourage people to transport in a more sustainable way are necessary to combat the
current problems and change towards a more sustainable lifestyle; it is also a must that the government acts as a
supporter and facilitator.
The research is divided into the present day situation of fume exhaustion and the options currently available
to move around the city, the changes that need to be done as well as investments pointing out the economic, social,
and resource consequences. After considering the research, suggestions are made altogether with a list of
recommendations.
I think that if we make individual changes consciously, it is ideal, but what we have to look for is making
the vast majority evolve to a more conscious and eco-friendly way of living before its too late. Because it does not
matter if we believe in it or not, planet earth is reacting in negative ways, and it will not stop for us. Therefore, we
have to proactively help take care of our environment.

My topic is car safety system. Why did Ichoose this topic? Because I think the car safety system is more
and more important. And over the last year, most people have cars as their transit tool. But for the novice, it is
dangerous. So many car manufacturers study many car safety systems in order to avoid accidents. What is car safety
system? It is a vehicle active safety system such as vehicle passive safety system and off-road auxiliary system. First
VASS is about ABS, ESP, TCS, etc. Second VPSS is about seat belts, SRS airbag, a safe body, etc. Third OFAS is
about 4WD, LSD, etc. In my opinion, these kinds of car safety systems are very important. But good driving
customs are just as important.
