Second Sunday of Lent

God wants to bless our families. Are we too busy and stressed to notice and accept these blessings?
God is present, waiting to meet and bless us in our families, but needs our time and attention. We need
to take time together as families to have fun, to talk, to work together, to eat and pray. Schedule some
family times in the calendar and see Jesus in the transfiguration of your family members and
relationships.

Please pray for our Sick especially: John Baylock, Joseph Benear, Betty Bartel, Jack

299 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. In the Mass, God gives
to us the complete gift of Himself in the Eucharist. In Eucharistic adoration, we give to God our
gratitude for this great gift. Eucharistic adoration is appreciation of Gods friendship extended to
us through the gift of His total Presence among us in this most Blessed Sacrament. Jesus, in the
Blessed Sacrament is our best and most faithful Friend. (Fr. Martin Lucia, SS.CC.) Call Sue at 330-
848-2813 or Delores at 330-825-4695 for a visit with your best friend.

St. Augustine's Culture of Life was formed in response to St. John Paul II challenge to build a
Culture of Life. We seek to pray, witness, and educate on life issues from the cradle to the
grave. This paramount issue leaves no one unaffected and its disastrous consequences are far
reaching. In addition to the Spiritual Adoption Program, which benefits both the St. Elizabeth
Ministry and the Community Pregnancy Center the Culture of Life has helped sponsored youth
from our parish who wish to attend the Annual March for Life. We coordinate with Northeast
Ohio Right to Life for the Mother's Day Flower Sale and the Media Campaign Fund. We provide
educational materials at the back of the church. We hold the annual Rosary for Our Lady of
Fatima in honor of the Miracle of the Sun which will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary in
October. We hold a Holy Hour for life on the First Friday of every month at 11:00 am followed
by Mass and witnessing in front of the abortion clinic, and a Holy Hour for Religious Freedom at
1:00 every Wednesday. There is much more to be done, won't you consider being part of the
solution? The Culture of Life meets the First Tuesday of every month following the 5:15 Mass
and Benediction, for more information contact Lynn Willig @330-472-9452.
