Congestion pricing is a policy that drivers must pay to use the

roadways during the peak times, to avoid unnecessary traffic. Some cities
use this policy to make people use more public transport, as a way to
reduce time used in locomotion.

There are some advantages to this policy, and the first one can be the
greater use of public transportation. Although, in the other hand, if the
public transport is not extensive enough, people will not have another
choice, besides but using their own car.

The other possible advantage, is related to the reduction of cars

driving, which means that less cars driving, the faster they go. But there is
the same condition as the example before, to make it works: the public
transportation needs to go to the majority of places people need, and have
enough units, otherwise it will be crowded, and people spend more time
than the usual.

The last advantage, is related to the pollution caused by all the cars
that drive are used in the peak times. This is environmentally correct, but if
the population lives too far away from the work, and there isnt good public
transport, they will still choose car as a transportation.
