A. Pre- Reading Activities
1. Motivation
Before we start our formal lesson, you are going to play a game. This game
is entitled Guess the Word. You are going to guess the word through the help of
the images.

Motive Questions
1. What can you see in the pictures?
2. What activities does your family do?
3. What is the most memorable activity that you and your family did?

2. Unlocking of Difficulties
Today, you are going to read a story about a family. The story is entitled
Our Family Customs and Traditions. But before that you are going to unlock
the meaning of difficult words.

1. The Grade IV class of Mrs. Delizo will have a field trip to Baluarte on
Saturday. The pupils are all happy and excited. Excited means
