Quick Guide
Location Change: For changing the location, under Select Location, select the New Location State, New
Location Office and under Select New Manager, select the Approving Authority, New Manager,
Effective Date and End Date (if it is Relocation). In this case, New Manager not mandatory.
Manager Change: For manager change, selecting New Manger is mandatory along with selecting Current
Manager.
Both location and manager change are possible.
With all the above, Effective Date is mandatory and End Date is mandatory if it is relocation.
Only relocation End Date can be given with Current Manger/Approval Manager as input for cases where
there is relocation extension or change in End Date.
This Screen has Current details of the Employee, New Location State, New Location Office, Approving
Authority, New Manager, and Effective Date of movement request and End Date (if on relocation).
Questions
For initiating transfer request, select the New Location State and the New Location Office from the drop down
menu. Enter the Effective Date which should be <= 45 days >= from current date.
For initiating relocation request, select the New Location State and New Location Office from the drop down
menu. Enter the Effective Date which should be <= 45 days>=from current date. For relocation, enter
the End Date.
For changing manager, select the Current Manager from the drop down menu. Select the New Manager and
enter the Effective Date. You can raise request for change in Location as well as Manager.
Once the request is being raised, an email communication will be triggered to the Approving Authority. Once
the request is approved through UWL, a movement completion mailer will be triggered with the
corresponding transfer/ relocation letter. This action is only meant for employees located in offshore
locations.
5. What is relocation and its corresponding parameters?
Relocation is a change in actual base location which is defined for a certain time frame having the relocation
End Date >= 30 days and <= 180 Days. The total days allowed for relocation will not be less than 30 days
and greater than 180 days. Relocation extension can be raised only once.
While raising request for relocation extension, please remember that it has to be raised in advance before
the Relocation End Date comes to an end. If its not raised and approved in the system, it will
automatically update location to base location. If the previous Relocation End Date is 30.11.2014 then
the Relocation Extension has to be raised and approved before 30.11.2014. Please select approving
authority, Relocation End Date and submit. Total relocation duration should not exceed 180 days.
Relocation Extension can be raised only once.
This request can only be raised by an employee who has an active relocation.

To initiate the Manager Change request, Location Change is not required. Select the Approving Authority for
the Current L1 and then enter the Employee ID/ AD ID/ Email ID of the New Manager. It will fetch the
data only if the New Manager is your home supervisor/ Primary Supervisor. Once both the supervisors
approve, it will be processed. The changes will be reflected as per the effective date of movement.

manager - refer annexure)
Transfer with Manager Change request can only be initiated if your current Home Supervisor/ Primary
Supervisor and New Managers home assignment are in same domain. Select the New Location State,
New Location Office from the drop down menu, Approving Authority for the Current L1 Manager, New
Manager and Effective Date.

For other employees, one can initiate a Manager Change Request (movement). Enter the Employee ID/Email
ID/AD ID of the employee for whom you want to initiate a Manager Change Request. Select the Current
Manager and correspondingly enter the Employee ID/Email ID/AD ID of New Manager and submit.

Bulk Upload
Movement for Others can also be raised through Bulk Upload sheet for a maximum of 25 employees.
Employees are requested to download the CSV template using the provided link Download CSV
Template. You are requested to maintain the excel sheet with the columns such as Employee ID, Target
Managers Employee ID and Upload the template in Moving other Screen of Application. Employee
details entered should be valid and Employee should be active in the system.

User can view all the pending requests in this page. Request can be edited only when the request is pending
for approval with Current Approving Authority L1 Manager. On clicking on Edit icon displayed next to the
request, the corresponding request will be opened in self/ moving others Screen for editing.
Note:
For all the above given scenarios: Movements which are raised and pending for approval will get auto
rejected after 3 working days from request raised Date. Wherever the process gets completed in the
system, letters will be triggered to the employee.

3. What will happen if the approver does not approve / reject the request
Request will get auto rejected if not approved within 3 working days.

While approving the request in my Worklist, New manager will get the below sample options to select as to
where the new reportee has to get tagged, Based on the selection of Cost Centre, Cost Centre Text, it
will populate the list of org units where the new manager is mapped as a chief.
1. If Emp. is free and to make him support along with movement (if any), select appropriate option
from below 11 options.
2. If Emp. is movement date is prior to system date and if support tagging is selected, then employee
movement will happen effective given date, however his support status will be effective approval
date.
