TITLE: Adapting MasterMalaysia Board Game EXCLUSIVELY for


PLKN in Bahasa Melayu

OBJECTIVE: To use the board game as a tool to instil PLKN


values in each participant

PERIOD: Continuous use of board game with selected timed updates


(every 5 years)

METHODOLOGY: 1. Playing of the board game is to be incorporated


during PLKN classroom training sessions

2. There will be a contest after completion of training

3. One team and an individual voted to represent the team


will be declared winners

DETAILS

About the Game


1. MasterMalaysia is a home grown board game that is designed to
increase Malaysian knowledge among Malaysians
2. MasterMalaysia is a Play to Learn board game.
3. It is a question and answer game
4. It is based on four foundation pillars; Land, People, Heritage and
Culture
5. Players are tested on their Malaysian knowledge and in the process
acquire more knowledge
6. The game is for either two or four players
7. There are two sets of question: for the CONFIDENT and NOT
CONFIDENT
8. Questions answered correctly entitles players to accumulate points
9. The one with the highest score wins

MasterMalaysia: Making it a Part of PLKN Training
Module
1. It can be called, MasterMalaysia PLKN with the cover picture
changed to fit in PLKNs image.
2. The game will be in Bahasa Melayu to ensure a single national identity
communication through our national language.
3. Some MODIFICATION will be done to skew questions (text and pictorial)
based on PLKNs vision and mission in relation to the Land, People,
Heritage and Culture.
4. These will be specially developed and incorporated into the board
game.
5. Current questions that are less relevant to PLKNs vision and mission
will be replaced (refer to Point 3).
6. Participants will be grouped into teams to participate in the games with
an aim to impart Unity in Diversity, a term first used by the 1st
Yang DiPertuan Agong in his New Year message to the nation in 1958.
7. Winning teams will vote one member of the team to represent the
team for the coveted Master PLKN of Malaysia trophy.
8. A GLC company can be roped in to sponsor the trophy and other
incentives.
9. Maybe an incentive could be; the whole team OR selected
members of the team OR one member of the team is given an
opportunity to follow the Malaysia representative to the United Nation
Security Council meeting as a youth observer.
10. Winning Teams from each intake will be given a Youth
Ministerial recognition like becoming the countrys Youth Defence
Ambassadors representing the youths for their nation

PLKNs Advantages
1. A fun way to get the participants excited into learning about being
patriotic as they play the game
2. The youth ambassador recognition will elevated the status of PLKN as
the first in the world to introduce this unique methodology to train the
youths of the nation to be aware and nurture patriotism.
