To Whom It May Concern:
I’m writing in reference to Ms. Shelbi Giacalone, Ms. Giacalone has been a student of
mine in the Early Childhood Unified program. She is a well-prepared and dedicated
teacher candidate.
Throughout the work that Ms. Giacalone completed for the courses I teach, she was asked
to apply important educational concepts including best practices in engaging students in
varied modes of learning and delivering developmentally appropriate classroom
assessments. She exhibits an understanding of all concepts and practices presented and
applies her understandings thoughtfully. She is also a cooperative team member who
works collaboratively
Her experience inside and outside the classroom speaks to her commitment as an
educator. In addition to her dedication to excellence in her coursework, Ms. Giacalone
has been an active member of the Early Childhood Student Organization, Gorillas for
Reading and PSU Dance Club. She also serves in her children’s church.
Ms. Giacalone has a genuine concern for students and aims to help them be successful.
She is aware and respectful of the needs of each individual and works to build positive
relationships with students. I am excited to watch the impact she will make as she moves
into her career.
Please call or e-mail if | can provide more information or be of further assistance.
