• Assisted in commissioning of Automated Phased Array and Eddy Current at

outset of Tubemill # 2 Operations using Windows 2000 operating system to
digitize display signal and scan weld.
• Worked in conjunction with RD Tech level 2 technician for full understanding
of system functionality.
• Developed and wrote separate Automated Phased array and Eddy Current
computer programs for weld inspection of High Strength Low Alloy, High
Carbon Steel and Galvanized Tubing.
• Developed and updated Standard Operating procedures for inspection of
Weld for galvanized steel.
• Developed and updated Standard Operating Procedures regarding changes in
inspection angles for welds related to forge pressure and speed of product
welded.
• Trained inspectors on calibration procedures, flaw propagation, process
defects and end use possible defects.
• Conducted troubleshooting, and repeatability testing on equipment to
determine reliability.
• Developed extensive cooling procedure for weld prior to entering inspection
equipment.
• Filed in-house inspection reports electronically.
• Calibrated equipment twice per shift and reported and documented any
anomalous indications or readings.
• Conducted lab tests to verify geometry of weld, bond line, flow of material to
weld, offset, ID and OD bead, heat affected zone, grain structure, and
inclusions using stereoscopic microscope (VT).
 • Attended in-house and customer quality meetings regarding flaw
propagation related to product development.
• As Quality Inspector, required to understand and conduct hands on
competent operation of all equipment to ensure quality production.
• In-house Level 4 metrology, quarantine procedure, process quality audits,
annual ISO verification of measuring equipment, repeatability testing, tube
formation and setup training.
• Full line responsibility for line operations and authority to shut down
production line when issues occur.
