SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDER (H-024-1)

MODULE 01: WORKSHOP SAFETY


Module Synopsis
This module is designed to help trainee to acquire knowledge and skill in safety practices and procedure. At the end of this module
the trainees will be able to:

Comply with shop & equipment safety rules


Adhere to work site safety requirement
Report unsafe act and condition, accidents and injuries

Module Objectives:

Apply safety practices and procedure using sign board, standing order, workshop lay out, air ventilation, fire extinguishers, instruction and
safety regulation and emergency telephone number so that proper work attire and safety attitude identified, workshop safety applied, safety
procedure in handling welding equipment adhered, all conductors use for electrical appliances are in good condition determined, safety
measure and regulations adhered, safety working area and precaution to be taken identified and unsafe acts, condition, accidents and
injuries notified in accordance with requirement of Occupational Safety & Health Act ( OSHA ).
