A Good Man is hard to find by Flannery O'Connor

A Good Man Is Hard to Find has been attributed as a contemptuous tale which obdurately

brings out manipulation by and pettiness of humans. From her entire collection of short stories,

this story is OConnors most anthologized one. OConnor displays her talent to mingle serious

thematic material with bizarre humor.

The tale is of ready devastation. The grandmother is a personality of conflict and less moral

character. She takes the entire family on a wrong route and gets them all killed. The characters

from the family introduced by OConnor in the entire story die a tragic death one by one.
