The Majesty Choir has begun rehearsals for the Easter Cantata on Thursdays at
7:15pm immediately following Majesty Choir rehearsal at 6:30 pm.
All voices welcome!

Lilies are now available to purchase for the Easter altar at a cost of $13 each. They will
be delivered to the church ready for display just before Easter Sunday. You can take
your lily home after worship on Easter or pick your plant up on Tuesday, April 18.
Those left behind will be delivered out to shut-ins. Mark you envelope lily to get your
plant ordered for Easter! Thank you!

SEWING KITS
April is coming soon and that means its
time for Sewing Kits for Lutheran World
Relief. Youve maybe heard the analogy
about teaching someone to fish well you
can help teach a person to sew and provide
the tools to earn an income and break out
of poverty. Project Promise Fabric Kits are
used in vocational training programs to
teach young men and women useful,
marketable skills. Cover them with love!
Each kit should include:
TWO spools of neutral-colored, general
purpose thread, 250-300 yards each
TWO pieces of cotton or cotton-blend fabric
(no knits of 100% polyester). Each piece
should match one of the sizes below:
2 yards of 60 wide fabric
3 yards of 44 wide fabric
4 yards of 36 wide fabric

During Lent 2017, St. Johns Mission Life Team
encourages members and friends to consider a
gift to Haiti through ELCA Global Church
Sponsorship. Your gift will support ELCA global
missionaries, scholars, and ministries where
needed most, including support for outreach by
the church in Haiti and collaboration among the
churches of Latin America. To designate your gift

March 28th: St. Johns At The Movies
Beauty and the Beast -- Norfolk 7 Theatre
(movie time TBA). Conversation follows in Kings
Party Room.
April 5th: 6 p.m. Seder Meal in the Fellowship
Hall. Lenten worship to follow @ 6:30 p.m.
April 25th: 6-7:30 p.m. Come pack Mercy Meals
at their location on 7th & Madison. Sign up on the
registration slip in the bulletin.
May 4th: Kids Club/Date Night- Drop your
newborn through 6th grader off at the Fellowship
Hall between 5-5:30 and go have an evening out
on us! Your child will be provided supper and fun
activities with adult supervision. Pick your child
back up by 8. Please sign up on the registration
slip or call the office with number & ages of
children so our team can plan accordingly.
June 9th & 10th: Christian Cross Festival at
Skyview Lake. Gather your friends and family and
plan to attend this free annual event. National
bands & speakers, childrens tent, inflatables,
kayakingGREAT fun for all ages! Watch future
bulletins for more details about this event.
June 22nd: Music in the Park at Skyview
Lake. 6-9:30 PM Bring a lawnchair or blanket,
your favorite beverage & snacks, and join your
St. Johns family under the yellow windsock for a
free evening of fun & fellowship. All ages
welcome!

Thank you to Pastor David, Jacquie
Samway, and everyone, for all the cards, calls,
visits, and prayers while Warren was in the
hospital for surgery after his Virginia stroke and
during his very unwilling, uncooperative 7-
week stay at the care center in Battle Creek for
rehab. Thankfully he is back home and doing his
best to stay there. God Bless You All.

Summer Camp is an awesome faith and
confidence-building experience!
Carol Joy Holling Camp, located just outside of
Ashland, NE, offers summer camp programs for 1st-
12th grade students, families and people with special
needs! You can attend for just $50 with the
remainder of registration fees picked up by St.
Johns Benefaction Board. Simply register your
child online at caroljoyholling.org and, at checkout,
select Pay By Check. Then pay a $50 non-
refundable deposit to St. Johns Camps & Retreats
fund, who will then pick up the total registration.

NLOM 2017 SUMMER CAMP
FOOD SECURITY PROJECT
WELCA will be collecting the following food kit
items to be sent where needed as determined by
Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries:
2 10 oz. cans of each of the following
vegetables: corn, cream corn, green beans,
peas
2 10 oz. cans of each of the following fruits:
Peaches, pears, mixed fruit, mandarin
oranges, pineapple
1 lb. pasta, any kind
1 24 oz. can (no glass) traditional pasta sauce
1 28 oz. plastic jar of peanut butter
Watch for a collection box in the west
hallway.
