Notes:
1. The following is assumed:
Bar size is not greater than 32mm. If >32 then the anchorage and lap lengths
should be divided by a factor (132-bar size)/100. e.g, for 40, lap length = 40x(Lp/0.92)
2. Lap lengths provided (for nominal bars, etc.) should not be less than 15 times the
bar size or 200mm, whichever is greater.
3. Where links are provided in beam and column, factor of 0.9 shall applied.
4. (a) For lapping, not more than 33% of the bars are lapped at one place,
factor of 1.15 shall apply (for beam and slab).
(b) For more than 50% of the bars are lapped at one place, factor of
1.5 shall apply (for beam and column/wall).
Lp = (1.15La or 1.5La)
