Libraries NI Creativity Month

Libraries NI is delighted to announce an exciting pro-

gramme of creative residencies and events taking
place in libraries during March in celebration of Crea-
tivity Month.

Aimed at all ages and focusing on animation, creative

writing, storytelling, photography and drama, these
exciting residencies and events will inspire audiences
from communities across NI to unleash their creative
potential.

Funding from the Department for Communities To-

gether: Building a United Community has enhanced
this years programme, and in addition to all of this,
Libraries NI is providing a range of free events
offering opportunities to access and explore the
digital world using library resources. Libraries
have grown their digital resources with Wi-Fi ac-
cess now in place in all libraries along with an ex-
tensive range of eBooks and eMagazines.

Helen Osborn, Acting Chief Executive of Libraries NI,

explains: Libraries NI is pleased to support this
years month-long celebration of creativity and the
Creative Industries in Northern Ireland with a packed
programme of events. I am excited to announce two
writers-in-residence, one animator-in-residence and
three storytellers-in-residence to facilitate Creativity
Month events in libraries. I know that they will all
share their knowledge and experience of writing, an-
imation and storytelling, whilst promoting the technol-
ogy and digital resources of libraries and the use of
libraries as creative community spaces.
