Samantha Marie Toledano-Avila, who plays the female lead role as Rose Alvarez AKA Rosie in

the spring play Bye Bye Birdie attends E3 Civic High School. She is sixteen years of age and in
10th grade. Samantha is best known for her talented singing skills, she has attended E3 Civic
High School for 2 years now. Samantha didnt have any musical theatre experience before she
came to E3. This is her first time being a part of an actual and seriously rehearsed play, and to be
honest she is doing one hell of a good job for it being her first year! Samantha is Latina and is
bilingual, if anything almost trilingual since she has spent four years taking Mandarin. Samantha
would like to thank the rest of her friends from the cast of Bye Bye Birdie for helping her to
become a better actress, specifically: Julia Wallace, Noland Nixon, Gracie Kuyper, and David
Limon. Samantha is extremely grateful to have received the part she auditioned for and cannot
wait to see where the beginning of her musical theatre career leads her to.
