Lab and Clinical portions of this course are PASS/FAIL. A separate syllabus will be provided
outlining expectations.
TESTING/QUIZES/EXAMS
Test and exam dates and content will be published in the course calendar. A blueprint will be
provided by the faculty and distributed to the student prior to the test or exam and will provide
the student with the subject content and the number of questions.
Testing
Test dates and corresponding chapters are found within the student calendar. The exams will only
be offered one time. Students are expected to be on time and prepared as no students will be
allowed entry to the testing area after testing has begun. It is the responsibility of the student to
arrange a make-up exam within one week of the exam date. The makeup exam will not be the
same as the exam missed, but will correspond with the blueprint. Students are permitted to have
only 1 make up occurrence, after which the grade assigned will be a ZERO for missed exams, to
include the final exam. Exams will be computer based with makeup exams being a paper-version
of the exam and will utilize the appropriate Scantron sheet to complete the exam if it is the paper
version. Exam review will be allowed for 1 week after all students have taken the exam.
In the event that the exam date/time must change, students will be notified as soon as possible. If
a student must miss an exam, they must notify the faculty that they will not be present for the
exam and schedule a date for the make-up exam within one week of the date of the exam.
Medication Calculation
Medication calculation tests will be administered during the course and will count towards the
final course grade. ATI dosage calculation study modules will be provided and students are
encouraged to complete the modules prior to the test.
Care Plans
Students will complete two (2) care plans during the course based on 2 separate patients that the
student encounters during the clinical portion of the course. Further instructions will be provided.
ATI
Students will be provided with ATI login information by faculty during the first week of class.
Students are encouraged to complete the associated study modules, but it is not required. No
grades will be given for completion of the ATI study modules. Students will take the associated
ATI RN Comprehensive Online Practice Tests A & B, as indicated on the course calendar, in the
