TransientCause
Achangeinthecircuitoperatingconditionsis
thecauseofatransientbeforereachingthe
steady state operation which can be studied
steadystateoperationwhichcanbestudied
inthetimedomainbymeansofthesetofthe

equationsofthecircuitanalysis.
Onofforoffonmodechangesofswitchesorsuddenchangesoftheexcitation
(voltageorcurrentsourcemodeledasstepfunctions)arethecauseof
transientsfollowedbyasteadystateoperationthatistheresponseofthe
circuittothechangedcondition.
Thetransientresponseisthecircuit
The transient response is the circuitsstemporaryresponsethatwilldieout
temporary response that will die out
withtime.Thisisthetemporarypartoftheresponse.
Thesteadystateresponseisthebehaviorofthecircuitalongtimeafter
thesuddenchangehashappened.Thisisthepermanentpartofthe

Thestorageelementsmaychangetheiroperationstatewithfulfillingthe
