To Whom It May Concern:

I have been asked to write a letter in support of Beth Snow who is applying
for teaching position and I do so with great pleasure. Ms. Snow has been a student
in four of my classes as well as completing her service-learning component with me
at Horizonte Adult School and in the Venture Program. Beth is an extremely bright
and gifted student and I am pleased to offer her my strongest recommendation for a
teaching position.

What singles Ms. Snow out is her engagement in all things related to
becoming a master teacher. Beth has worked with ESL students in her service-
learning, non-traditional adult learners in the Venture course (a White House award
winning Humanities program), as an editor for a literary magazine, has been the
heart and soul of ESAC, helped developed literary outreach programs and has
worked as a student advisor to the Department of English. Additionally, she has
been a judge for a literary competition and has created venues for open mic
readings. Ms. Snow is involved in all aspects of the profession and would be a gift on
the faculty of any school. On top of this praise, I call attention to the fact she has
been on the Deans List seven times.

I cant speak highly enough of her scholarship when she was a student in my
3400, 5410 and 5420 classes. Ms. Snow will be one of those teachers that will
simply change the shape of the students she teaches.

Of all the students I have had the pleasure of writing letters for in their effort
to gain employment, I would place Ms. Snow at the top of the list. Offering her a
position on any faculty would be a sound move. Ms. Snow will be a master teacher
and I support and endorse her application with the is deserving of this opportunity.

Sincerely,
Jeff Metcalf
