Know all men by these presents that we John K Smith & Harriet his wife of the County of Oakland in the
Territory of Michigan in consideration of five hundred Dollars to us paid by Calvin C Parks of the same
place the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge do by these presents give grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said Calvin C Parks his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of Land situate in the village
of Auburn in said County bounded and described as follows viz: being known by the Plat of said village
as Lot number forty five (45) Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the said Land in any
wise appertaining and belonging To have and To hold the above granted premises to the said Calvin C
Parks his heirs and assigns to his and their use and behoof forever that we the said John K Smith &
Harriet his wife for our heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said Calvin C Parks his
heirs and assigns that we are lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises that they are free from
all incumbrances that we have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Calvin C Parks
aforesaid and that we will and our heirs executors and administrators shall Warrant and defend the same
to the said Calvin C Parks his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful demands of all persons In
testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this third day of April in the Year of our
Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty two

County of Oakland } ss Be it remembered that on the third day of April personally came before me
John K Smith & Harriet his wife known to be the persons who executed the within Deed and
acknowledged that they executed the same for the purposes herein contained & Harriet Smith wife of the
said John K Smith being carefully examined separate from her husband acknowledged that she executed
the within Deed for the purposes herein contained without fear or compulsion of the said husband
