Narrative Report on Learning Resource Management and Development

System Training-Workshop

I. Introduction

Last July 21-23, 2016, the Dep. Ed. Division Office of Mountain Province conducted a
training-workshop on Learning Resources Management and Development System (LRMDS)
mechanics at Dap-ayan hall, division office of Deped Mountain Province.
The objectives of the said training are the following:
1. Strengthen learning resource development and distribution system in the school level.
2. Improvement of instructional and learning materials system through support for the
assessment, acquisition, adaptation, development, production and distribution of
teaching/learning materials to schools.
3. Digitize and available student learning materials.
4. Enhance provisions of quality instructional materials.
5. Modify and enhance learning materials, teaching materials and professional development
materials.
After the 3 day training, the supervisors, school heads, and teachers are expected to have:

A. Enhanced pedagogical knowledge, skills and attitudes on making learning resources.

B. Improved ability to assess learners literacy and numeracy skills.
C. Sustained commitment in mentoring, sharing of teaching experiences.

II. Activities

After the registration and checking of rooms, the participants from the different districts
of Mountain Province were oriented regarding the 3 day training. On the first day of the training,
the schools division superintendent of Mountain Province give words of wisdom and
encouragement to the participants.
The facilitators in each session follow one approach in delivering their assigned task and
that is direct delivery of video presentations and power point presentations.

And the general content of the 3 day sessions were as follows

1. LRMDS Framework
2. Copyright and Preface
3. Making of English SIM
4. Making of Filipino SIM
5. Using APA format in citing works
 6. Browsing and Registering in LRMD Portal national level

III. Personal Learning

A. What I enjoyed the most

- The session facilitated by Sir Allan Dumalsin which is on browsing and uploading of
learning materials in the deped LRMDS portal.

B. What I learned

- Making of SIM and story books

- How to cite works in different formats.
- Interfacing the k to 12 deped competency with the community IKSPs
