Factors Affect the Academic Motivation of Imelda Senior High School Students

Introduction:

Everybody was so motivated in learning when they are young and has a lot of dreams but
when the time past and their environment is changing their point of view about learning and schooling
has been lessen. In their young ages they think that learning is so important in their lives because they
believe that this is the only thing that no one can steal of.

First what is motivation, psychology says motivation is a process that initiates, guides, and
maintains goal-oriented behaviors. The what and why are the concepts of motivation that is used in
many different disciplines and analyze the human action (Deci & Ryan, 2000).

Our main research question asks for factors that affects or influence academic motivation. The
linked to lack of motivation is due to underachievement of college students (Balduf, 2009 and
references therein). This research only includes the students of Imelda Senior High School; in addition
we will also study the factors of what students make motivated and how they will be motivated.

Imelda Senior High School is located at one of the barangay in Malabon, a lot if on-going
construction of building. Imelda Senior High School is experiencing a lot of absences due to lack of
motivation in studying. Some students choose to absent instead of going in school. And school dont
even tolerate this kind of behavior so that we pursue to know what their reasons and how to help
them.

This research will show the different reasons and factors that will base on our survey. We will
ask some students who are experiencing lack of motivation and the students that have a motivation.
To complete our research, first we will find our different sources especially those students that are
willing to interview and share their ideas, next is we will going to conduct a survey questions that
students can easily answer it, lastly is to apply this ideas and make a concrete hypothesis to how to
motivate students due to the factors that affects their attention in studying.

Most of us are having a difficulty to how we will going to continue our schooling due to too
much stress that we encounter in everyday we go to school. As a student I also experiencing the same
thing as other students so that my interest to conduct research was too important to me not only that it
can help me also other students.
 Factors affecting the academic of students are the things that this research considers in order
to have an effective and have an impact to the readers is the purpose of this research. We conclude
that after this research, people can make a hypothesis or a way on how to motivate students in their
academic learning.

As this research continue more ideas will come up to the mind of readers. This will reflect to
oneselves perspective that there's a lot of way to motivate individuals to learn. This research will
perform or conduct a survey to know what are the factors that affects their motivation whether it's a
good factor or not. Not all students know how to motivate themselves so that they need an assistance
to make themselves motivated in schooling. Later on I hope that this research will contribute even. A
little amount to the world research about academic motivation specially the factors that influence it.
So this research is conclude that in order to have an idea about academic motivation it prefer you to
read this. So this research will start at the main topic which is Academic Motivation to the problems
include in this topic, next is the application of the things that may help people in real life.
