Starters

Vichyssoise: It is a typical French dish. This is a creamy

cream. It is served very cold.

Gazpacho. It is a traditional Spanish cold soup made


of blended raw vegetables served with diced fried bread.

Carpaccio: Its an Italian dish made of thin slices of

of sliced apples, lettuce, celery, chopped nuts, raisins, cream
and mayonnaise.

Caesar salad: Its an Italian-Mexican salad made of


romaine lettuce, chopped fried chicken, seasoned croutons,
chopped cheese, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt
pepper and vinegar.
Greek Salad: It is made of chopped tomato, sliced
cucumber, pepper and red onion, black olives and feta
cheese with salt, black pepper, and oregano, and dressed
with olive oil.

Merluza a la koxkera: It is made of almonndds,


asparagus,, cooked egg, onion, pea and grilled hake.

Main Courses
Couscous: It is traditional North African dish made of
boiled couscous cereal, lamb or chicken and vegetables: slices of
tomato, carrot, zucchini, garlic, leeks, and onion.

Paella: It is traditional Spanish dish, rice based, with fish,


seafood and vegetables.

Lasagne: It is Traditional Italian dish made of gratinated


pasta layers stuffed with minced meat or vegetables and
covered with bchamel and grated Parmesan cheese.

Roquefort steak: It is a typical French dish. This is


made of grilled steak with Roquefort sauce that is made of cream,
blue cheese, nutmeg and mushrooms.

Fondue: Is a typical Swiss food. It consists of dipping skewers


with small pieces of food in hot liquid as melted cheese, oil and
chocolate.
Spaghetti Carbonara: Is a typical Italian dish. It is made
with cooked spaghetti, fried sliced bacon, beaten eggs, cream and
cheese.

Spaghetti Bolognese. It is a pasta dish served with


seasoned minced meat and tomato sauce.

Marmitako: It is a stew the bonito with potatoes, onion,


pepper and tomatoes. Served in hot crockpot.

Desserts
Fruit salad: a combination of finely chopped fruit,
flavoured with sugar, liquor or juice.

Apple Pie: it is a fruit pie made of an apple coated


mass.
Rice pudding: It is a typical dessert of the cuisine of
many countries made by simmering rice in milk with sugar.
Served hot or cold.

Cake: It is a sweet dessert made by baking a mixture of


flour, eggs, sugar, fat, etc. in an oven. It may be large and cut
into slices, or it may be small, for one person only.

Pancake/crpe: A thin, flat cooked mixture of milk,


flour, yeast and beaten eggs. It has a circular shape and it
is usually rolled up or folded. You can eat it hot with a
sweet or savoury filling inside.

Custard: A sweet yellow sauce made from milk and eggs


which you eat with fruit and puddings.

Mousse: A sweet dessert made from eggs and cream, with


fruit or chocolate added to give it flavour. You usually
eat it cold.

Panchineta: It is a bun elaborated with a puff pastry


with almonds, cream. Decorated with sugar glaze.
Canary Dishes
Ropa Vieja: It is popular Canary stew made of
fried potatoes, chick peas and meat

Papas arrugadas con mojo. It is a


traditional canary dish. They are salty skinned
(unpeeled) boiled potatoes served with red hot
pepper sauce.

Puchero Canario: It is a typical Canary dish. It


is made of in a spot boiled meat, carrot, corn,
banana, potato, sweet potato, peppers, vegetables

Potaje de Berros It`s a canary heavy soup


made of watercress, vegetables and soft corn
with pork

Sancocho: Its a canary dish made of boiled


salted fish, potatoes and sweet potatoes and
served with red hot canary sauce mojo
Canary Desserts

Frangollo: It Is a typical Canary dessert. It is made of


milk, flour, lemon, sugar, egg, butter, raisins and almonds
cooled in the refrigerator.

Gofio Ice-cream. Gofio is a Canary speciality


made of toasted corn or wheat flour .

Truchas de batata. (Pastries filled with sweet


potato) It is a traditional Canary dessert. They are small sweet
pies stuffed with mashed sweet potatoes and sultanas. They
are folded and deep- fried. They are served covered with sugar.
