The Utah Association of Independent Insurance Agents (UAIIA)


Eligibility: Utah high school seniors
Criteria: Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and are active in extra-curricular activities through your school, church, community or work. One
scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing an insurance career, the others to students pursuing insurance or business
degrees. Financial need by applicants may also be considered. Please see the counseling office for application and more

Mens Italian American Civic League


Eligibility: High School Male with Italian Ancestry
Criteria: The scholarship is awarded based on American College Testing (ACT) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) college entrance exams
(30%), exceptional high school academic ability (30%), and extracurricular (school, community, church, service, work related)
activity involvement (20%), Italian heritage and involvement with an Italian Cultural Organization (20%).

Latter-Day Pioneer Scholarship Fund


Eligibility: High School Senior
Criteria: To qualify for this scholarship you must be a first-generation convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or a child
of parent who joined the Church during your lifetime; be admitted or attending an LDS affiliated school including BYU-Provo,
BYU-Hawaii, BYU-Idaho, LDS Business College or Southern Virginia University (proof required) or be actively involved in an LDS
Institute of Religion program at a non-Church affiliated school; have a GPA equal to or high than 3.0, be able to provide proof of

Home Education Leadership Scholarship


Eligibility: Utah High School Senior
Criteria: To qualify for this scholarship you must be a resident of the State of Utah; have been home schooled for at least five years of
your primary and/or secondary education; be college bound (preference given to students with a 3.25 GPA or above); be
admitted or attending an accredited four-year college or university, and demonstrate financial need. For more information and to

Equality Leadership Fund Scholarship


Eligibility: Utah High School Senior
Criteria: To qualify for this scholarship you must be a resident of the State of Utah; have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA while receiving
this scholarship; show leadership regarding rights and recognition for LGBTQ people; demonstrate financial need; be admitted to
or attending a two or four-year public or private accredited college, university or vocational/or technical school as an

Zions Bank Pays for As

Eligibility: Students ages 12-18
Criteria: Hardworking students in Utah and Idaho can earn $1 per A on their 2016-2017 report cards (sorry, A- grades arent eligible).
Eligible students are also entered for a chance to win scholarship savings accounts worth up to $1,000. Students should bring
their most recent report card for the 2016-2017 school year and a parent/guardian to any Zions Bank Financial Center. For every
A, theyll get $1 deposited into a Student Savings Account. If they dont have an account or arent a Zions Bank client, theyll
still be rewarded .50 cents per A. Getting paid for an A enter the student for the chance to win a scholarship savings account

Award: $1, $100, $1,000
Deadline: 150 students from different geographic regions in Utah and Idaho will win scholarship savings accounts worth $100 throughout
the school year. Drawing deadlines to submit most current report cards are:
November 11, 2016 for the fall drawing
January 27, 2017 for the winter drawing
April 2, 2017 for the spring drawing
Eligible entries from all community drawings will be pooled into the grand prize drawing. One Utah student and one Idaho
student will each win a grand prize $1,000 scholarship savings account. The deadline to turn in final report cards for the year-
end drawing is July 15, 2017.

Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah Fellowship / Scholarship


Eligibility: High School Senior
Criteria: The Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah, a private, non-profit organization that provides support to the Hill Aerospace
Museum located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is pleased to offer a $1,500 fellowship/scholarship to a graduating high school
senior. Selectees from undergraduate and technical school programs will be expected to contribute approximately twenty hours
per week for ten weeks (200 hours minimum), at the Hill Aerospace Museum, to be completed between the hours of 9:00 AM and
4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, from June-August. For an application, please come visit the counseling office.

Michelle Taysom Memorial Scholarship


Eligibility: Weber High School Senior
Criteria: Student who has demonstrated an interest in pursuing Creative Writing/English as a major in college. Candidates will be
required to submit a portfolio containing writing examples, personal essay, and transcripts. For application and more information,

Award: $1,000

BHW Women in STEM Academic Scholarship


Eligibility: High School Female Senior
Criteria: The BHW Group is a custom web and mobile app development company based in Austin, Texas. Their Women in STEM
scholarship is open to women who are pursuing an undergrad degree in STEM during the 2017 school year. Applicants are
asked to submit a photo and essay on their favorite app or an essay about a time an app played a significant role in improving
their day. Applications are due on April 15th and the winner will be announced on May 1st. Apply here;

Hannah Warburton Resilience Award


Eligibility: Utah High School Senior
Criteria: The Hannah Warburton Resilience Award is established for Utah high school seniors who have shown resilience in overcoming
difficult obstacles to completing their high school education. In the process of applying for this award, students will share their
story. Their stories will go on to help kids of all ages overcome struggles in their own lived. Its time to celebrate resilience. For

Mountain America Scholarship

Criteria: Scholarships are available for Mountain America Credit Union members and their families. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded
in each of the following categories: Community Service and Social Service, General and Other Academic Majors, and Business

2017 Student-View Scholarship


Eligibility: High School Senior
Criteria: The Student-View Scholarship is a unique opportunity for high school seniors. It is open to all students regardless of academic
achievement or financial need. Simply complete a 15-25 minute online survey about local colleges. You will then be automatically

2017 Drauca J. Holmes Scholarship (Heritage Community Theatre)


Eligibility: High School Seniors majoring in Theatre in their post-high school studies (Theatre Arts, Musical Theatre and Theatre Education)
Criteria: Must be a Utah resident, graduate from an accredited high school or obtain their GED certification in 2017 by June 17, 2017,
must have performed in, or been part of the production staff or crew of a Heritage Community Theatre production during their
time in high school (the last four years), and must be accepted to post-high school undergraduate educational college or

Flora Rhees and Paul Budge Cragun Memorial Music Scholarship


Eligibility: Weber High School Senior
Criteria: Plan to attend a college or university after graduation, pursue a degree that involves music and/or something in the fine arts and

OWATC: Summer Bridge Scholarship


Eligibility: High School senior

1st Art Gallery Annual Art and Design Scholarship

Criteria: 1st Art Gallery wants to enable art students (all art disciplines) to continue their education. Art student need to submit a piece of

Robinson & Henry Family Law Scholarship


Eligibility: High School Seniors
Criteria: The Family Law Scholarship is open only to applicants whose parents have gone through a divorce or are planning on pursuing
a career in family law. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, must be attending an accredited 4-year college/university or 2-year
community college for Fall 2017, a current transcript, must be a US Citizen, a 500-word minimum essay explaining your parents

EGC Women in Law Scholarship


Eligibility: High School Female Senior
Criteria: The applicant must be enrolled at an accredited college, university or law school, will not have graduated by Fall 2017, and must
be attending classes. This scholarship is only open to women. The scholarship will be awarded based on merit, need and

SCW DREAMers Scholarship


Eligibility: High School Senior
Criteria: Immigrant under the age of 25, Entered the United States before age 16, have lived continuously in the country for at least five
years, Have not been convicted of a felony, a significant misdemeanor, or three other misdemeanors. Applicant must plan to
attend college by fall semester 2017. Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0. A transcript must be attached to application for
consideration. Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to
substantiate their application. Applicant will be required to demonstrate both their merit and their need for this scholarship.

Hi-GEAR (Girls Engineering Abilities Realized) Camp

Hi-GEAR is designed to expose young women to a variety of engineering and computer science careers with hands-on experiential learning and
collaborative team projects. Some past activities include: building trebuchets for launching water balloons, making perfume using distillation,
programming and racing robots, extracting DNA, and touring University research labs. Participants interact with Hi-GEAR mentors (female college
engineering students, female faculty and staff) who guide them through this program. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn scholarships
to study engineering as a college student at the University of Utah! Female students currently in 9th-12th grade, Day Camper $120/Residential
