A Bajillion Ways to Respond to Literature

There are numerous ways to demonstrate your understanding of concepts in a text than simply to write an essay. So--
taking a multi-genre approach-- for this assignment, you can choose any of the following project ideas that you as a
class suggested. If you choose to work with a partner (2 people max), your work needs to reflect that two brains went
into making the piece. Each project will be PRESENTED to the class.

Directions: Analyze how a specific type of control influences a characters actions, motivations, words, etc. in Julius Caesar.
You must demonstrate, in whichever genre you choose, that this particular type of control directly influences the character(s) to
act in a certain manner. You must include at least two pieces of evidence from the text to support your claims.

Artistic Representation- drawing, collage, storyboard (must include at least two paragraphs analyzing how control
affects character)

symbolic interpretation (build something) (must include at least two paragraphs analyzing how control affects
character)

Extend, rewrite, or edit a scene/act! (must be at least 100 lines)

Newspaper page (at least three articles)

Poem/set of poems (must include at least two paragraphs explaining and analyzing)
Rap/song (must include at least two paragraphs explaining and analyzing)
Speech
Presentation with visual
Video/ mini-film
Poster
Interpretive dance/cheer
Flash fiction
Cartoon or comic strip (must include at least two paragraphs explaining and analyzing)
Short story
Lesson to class (with interactive activities)
Instagram/Facebook page: minimum of 10 posts (can do project look of an IG or make an actual page, but must get at

least 30 people to follow)
