To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing with regard to Laura Garcia, who has been my student in my Spanish for Spanish
Speakers 2 and English Language Development courses at El Capitan High School. Laura is
an exceptional, determined, optimistic young lady. I have seen many examples of her talent
and have been impressed by her work ethic. Her knowledge and abilities would lead her to
continue in her path of success.

Laura is well regarded by her peers and other teachers, and is also active in extracurricular
activities. She is an active member of the ESA (Environmental Science Academy) Club, and
also serves as an academic mentor. Besides serving as an active member of ESA, working
part-time at Western Union and volunteering in an after school program helping elementary
school students, Laura has successfully maintained a 3.02 GPA.

Laura has great organizational skills and demonstrates great responsibility by turning all her
assignments on time. In my class, she infused motivation and natural leadership in every goal
she set. For example, on an assigned Latin American country group presentation, she was able
to demonstrate her dedication, teamwork capability, technological ability, and knowledge of the
country, through an innovative, effective PowerPoint presentation.

Laura has great talent and has performed some of the most creative, productive presentations,
as a student in my class. Through such active participation, Laura demonstrates her effective
ability to flourish in group settings. She infuses motivation and natural leadership in every
assignment. She provides positive encouragement, listens to her fellow classmates and helps
them in any capacity that she can.

As a person, Laura is a kind, caring, friendly individual. She certainly has been able to
successfully balance between her academics, work and extracurricular activities . She gets
along with everyone and she cares about others and her school. Laura exemplifies the
characteristics expected from a member of El Capitan.

I would highly recommend Laura Garcia as a motivated, knowledgeable young lady who will
succeed in any task. If her performance in my class is any indication of how she will succeed,
Laura will be a positive addition to any higher educational institute. As a first year generation
student attending college, she possesses the qualities necessary for excellence in any college
