joensd Workingalotwiththesevaluesitsnicetoknowsomeandyoucaneasilycalculatethe"rest".
diyAudioMember Forexample+6dBmeans~twicethesignal,6dB~halfthesignal.
So+12dBis~4times(2*2)theoriginaland+18dB~8times(2*2*2)

So,Ifimreadingthiscorrectly,calculatingformylinear256stepattenuator:

avolumeof0='20*log(0/255)'=(infinity)db.
avolumeof1='20*log(1/255)'=48db.
avolumeof2='20*log(2/255)'=42db.

...

avolumeof253='20*log(253/255)'=0.06db.
avolumeof254='20*log(254/255)'=0.03db.
avolumeof255='20*log(255/255)'=0db.
