Length of Instructor Training Sessions

The recommended time requirements for instructor training are listed below. These guidelines are the minimum expectations to complete each course.
Instructor Training Centers may determine time requirements need to be adjusted; however, the minimum expectations stated below should be used as
the baseline and increased based on individual ITC circumstances.

CCNA R&S: Introduction to Networks (recommended) 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA R&S: Routing and Switching Essentials (recommended) 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA R&S: Scaling Networks (recommended) 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA R&S: Connecting Networks (recommended) 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA R&S: Network Basics 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA R&S: Routing Protocols 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA R&S: Switched Networks 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNA Security 5 days* 2 days in-person and 4 days remote** 5 days***

CCNP ROUTE: Implementing IP Routing 10 days* 5 days in-person and 5 days remote** 8 days***

CCNP SWITCH: Implementing IP Switching 10 days* 5 days in-person and 5 days remote** 8 days***

CCNP TSHOOT: Maintaining and Troubleshooting IP Networks 10 days* 5 days in-person and 5 days remote** 8 days***

* One day represents approximately eight hours.

** All final assessments need to be proctored in-person.
*** An ITC must submit a proposed plan for Remote ILT instructor classes to the Regional Technical Manager of their respective region for approval.
