Aim:
The aim is to -ind what the human eye and the cow eye has in common and to get to
the lens

a) Use the picture below to name the parts of the eye.

b) Which part of the eye is responsible for the following? Pupil

i) Contains sensory receptors for vision.


ii) The coloured portion of the eye.
iii) This structure changes shape to focus light on the retina.
iv) The opening of the iris through which light passes.
v) Helps the eyeball keep its round shape and prevents it from collapsing.
vi) Outer layer of the eye. Protects the eye and helps keep its shape.
vii) Cord at the back of the eyeball. Carries neural impulses from the eye to the brain.
viii) Fills space between the lens and cornea. Plays a part in focusing light rays.
ix) Dark coloured layer underneath the retina. Contains blood vessels which supply
nutrients and oxygen to the eye.

c) Discuss the similarities and differences between the cows eye and a human eye
(present this in a table).

d) List 3 key features of the outside of the eye.

The shape of the lens was round

referring to rods and cones.
It would get larger because it tries to get as much light as possible

Conclusion:
The lens was found and use to look at the new paper and be able to see clearer
