OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
1. Pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
ACTIVITIES
1. Teacher introduces herself to the pupils using a song;
2. Pupils respond to teachers action by asking few related questions :
(a) What is your teachers name?
(b) Where does she live?
3. Teacher shows the night market picture. Brainstorming by asking few guided questions using a Bubble Map:
(a) What is this place?
(b) What can you see in this picture?
(c) What will you buy at this place?
(d) What is the boy doing?
(e) What is the man selling at the stall?
(f) What are the children looking at the toy stall?
4. Play The Whisper Game : Create 5 groups and distribute a blank Bubble Map to each group.

5. Teacher whispers the answer to the group representative, and he/she have to whisper the same sentence to their
group members. While listening, pupils fill in the map correctly.
6. Discussion : Check the answers.
7. Provide some practice on asking and aswering questions about the common places.
8. Choose randomly and ask the pupils to tell others about the common places.
9. Talk about the importance of keeping the places clean.
10. Give feedback to the pupils and encourage them to speak confidently.

OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
1. Demonstrate understanding of variety of linear and non-linear texts in the form of print and non-
print materials using a range of strategies to construct meaning.
ACTIVITIES
1. Teacher shows few pictures on natural disaster such as flood or typhoon to stimulate the pupils knowledge and
encourage them to share their experiences.
2. Teacher put on the comprehension text on the whiteboard.
3. Shared reading activity.
4. Divide the class into 2 groups. Take turn to ask & answer the comprehension questions.
5. Teacher read aoud the answers, pupils underlined the sentences with colour pencils in the given comprehension
texts.
6. Teacher guides on how to find words in the text which have the meanings stated in the questions sheet.
7. Pupils complete the Bubble Map using the information from the comprehension text.

4. Pupils pick a strip of paper and write the words using cursive writing.

OBJECTIVE
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
1. Use different word classes correctly and appropriately.
ACTIVITIES
1. Teacher shows few realias to the pupils and let them add ( -s), (-es), (-ies), (-ves) or (-en) to the
correct realia.
2. Introduce and explain the concept of plural nouns. Provide examples to the pupils.
3. Divide the pupils into 5 groups. Each group will get different question.
Example :
(i) Change the -f or -fe to -ves at the end of nouns to make them plural.

4. Pick the word strips on the whiteboard correctly and paste it onto A4 paper.
5. Discussion: Check the answers.
6. Fill in the blanks with the plural form of the words in brackets.

2. Teacher recite the poem, pupils listen carefully.
3. Distribute the poem to the pupils, pupils replace the pictures with words correctly.
4. Drilling : Pupils recite the poems.
5. Pupils replace the words in bold with their own words to create a poem.
6. Teacher choose pupils randomly to share their poem with friends in the class.
