Instructor/Professors Name (Farhan Islam), Students Full Name and their Student ID number,
Submission Date (e.g. April 7, 2017), and must also have page number and title of the topic in
each page of the assignment paper (excluding the cover page). Failure to adhere this format will
end up losing 2% mark of the overall assignment mark. The Assignment is worth 20 % of the
overall grade.

Assignment Topic: Gross Domestic Product. In this assignment, you will discuss the Gross
Domestic Fluctuations (GDP) of a country in the last 5 years and factors influencing the GDP.
You might like to build on the GDP discussion of Canadian GDP trends that we studied in the
class. You might want to find out some unique features of that countrys GDP trends and what
has led to that trend. You might also like to discuss the future GDP trends and its overall impact
or effect on the countrys economy.

You should choose a country to focus your discussion. The format for the assignment should
have an introduction, historical background, discussion of factors contributing to particular
trends and their impacts on GDP fluctuations and the economy in general. You might want to
pick up some unusual historical events in that country and what led to GDP fluctuations in that
country.

Length of the Assignment:

5 6 pages double spaced. Graphs, table, and references may take up additional pages
(preferably in an appendix to the paper).

You could use books, journal articles, organizations websites such as World Bank, Asian
Development Bank and other regional banks, International Monetary Funds, UN, European
Union for reference. Use a good bibliography and reference writing style APA format.
