Objectives:

help (This is up to the teacher) (must go to special service instructor to take any tests)

No technology will be used during this learning center
week. Parents are encouraged to assist children with telling time at home. They can do
this throughout the day by asking their child to say what time is being shown on the

The teacher will have previously taught the standard to the class.
To assess their understanding prior to the learning center activity the teacher can ask
students what they need to remember about telling time on an analog clock.
o Left side of digital clock = hour, right side = minute
o big hand=hour hand, small hand= minute hand

o Students will wrap up the activity by self-checking their work. There will be an answer
key for the students to compare their egg matches to.
o They will put the eggs back where they belong and turn their worksheets in to be
assessed by the teacher.
o The teacher will then prompt students to transition into the next learning center.
Differentiation:
Lower Students The two matching clocks can be written on the same color eggs so that
they students know the match has to be in the same color.
Advanced Students Different colored eggs for the matches. Write a story problem that
deals with time.
