Siebel Components and Terminology
Siebel data is displayed in Applets, which are containers of records. Two
types of applets are: Form and List Applets.
A Form Applet displays detailed information about a single record at a
glance.
A List Applet displays one or more records in a list. Scroll bars are
provided to help a user look within and across multiple records.
A Record is a group of related data organized into fields. For example,
information about a contact, such as last name, first name, address and
phone number, makes up a contact record.
A record can appear in a list of multiple records (List Applet), or it can be
displayed individually in a form (Form Applet).
A field is a location in a record in which specific data is stored. Fields can be
edited in either the List or Form applet. There are several types of fields
available.
