Complete head to toe assessment by auscultation, palpation, and visualization on every patient assigned
Conduct safety assessments to promote a safe patient environment and ensure safe operational equipment was present
Perform documentation of assessments in electronic medical record
Prioritize nursing interventions based upon patients needs and assessment findings; utilize critical thinking to help
with prioritizing
Evaluate and identify patient status changes; provide appropriate reporting and timely interventions
Provide direct patient care including patient transfers and ambulation, feeding, personal hygiene, tracheostomy care,
wound care, and Foley catheter care
Perform accurate medication administration including PO medications, intramuscular injections, subcutaneous
injections, intravenous medications, and medication through a G-Tube.
Participate in collaboration with professionals of the interdisciplinary team to plan, manage, and evaluate care
Educate patients and families on medications, disease processes, community resources, and discharge information
