Managed Energy Meditation

Originally taught by Yogi Bhajan on February
26, 1985

When faithfully practiced, this kriya

produces a vitality in the etheric body so
that it becomes extremely strong and begins
to totally regulate the physical glands. This
balances the glandular system so that the
emotions become constant and the mind
becomes divine in its actual potential.

The glands will secrete to the total rhythm of

the individual psyche rather than from
fragmented segments of the self. This new
unity is the ecstasy.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight

spine. After the rst 5 minutes, let the head,
neck and shoulders completely relax down.
Use no strength in any part of the body
above the diaphragm, but keep the hands in
place.

Mudra: Raise the right hand up to the base

of the throat. With the thumb and pads of the ngers, press the points just below the collarbone
protrusions (where the collarbone and the sternum meet; this is a reex point for the thymus gland).
Insert the ngers of the left hand into the bend of the left knee, palm against the thigh.

Breath: Make the mouth into an "O" and breathe two times per second as if blowing bubbles. Use the
cheeks. After 5 minutes, begin to breathe normally.

Eyes: Look forward. Then gradually close the eyes while visualizing the bubbles.

Time: 9 minutes total. After ve minutes, start closing the eyes. After two more minutes let the head
and shoulders drop. After two more minutes conclude the meditation.
