2 DEFINITIONS

The definitions in EURONORM 79 apply for the terms hot rolled, strip, hot-rolled wide strip and narrow steel strip.

3 FORM A N D CONDITION OF DELIVERY

3.1 Form of delivery can also be supplied mechanically or chemically descaled

(pickled), neutralized and oiled.
Hot-rolled narrow steel strip according to this EURONORM
may be supplied:
in coils, the diameter and mass of which are to be agreed at 3.2.2
the time of ordering,
The products are usually supplied with as-rolled edges. Deliv-
in cut lengths (when the coils have been unrolled and cut
ery of narrow steel strip with sheared, trimmed or bevelled
into lengths), the length and finish of which are to be agreed at
edges shall be the subject of an agreement.

5 TOLERANCES ON SHAPE

5.1 Edge camber 5.1.2

5.1.1 The permissible edge camber for cut lengths of less than
2 500 mm shall be agreed at the time of ordering.

2 500 mm, shall be: 5.2 Form of coils

6.1 Thickness 6.1.4

6.1.1 The variation in thickness over a coil (see 4.1.3) shall be

measured on a line running parallel to and at least 20 mm
The thickness may be measured at any point on the centre line from the longitudinal edge of the strip.
for products up to 40 mm wide, and at any point at least 20 mm
from the longitudinal edge for products over 40 mm wide.

These minimum distances may be reduced by agreement at
the time of ordering. 6.3 Edge camber
