Fire-rated assemblies for walls, floors, ceilings,
and penetration protection methods require approved details. Fire protection inspections will be very precise and exacting. Do NOT alter, substitute, change, or omit anything from the approved details. Any materials incorporated into an approved fire- rated assembly that are not a part of the tested assembly must have Division of Building Safety approval prior to inspection. Penetrations will be inspected by the Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Inspector and rechecked by the Building Inspector prior to covering the work and again at the final inspection.
