They both told arur that a man had just tried to grab then and take then into his apartment by enticing them with food and drinks, The auspect did not have consent from any parents or guardians to renove the children from the common playground. VICTIN 3 told Srur, right before officers arrived on scene, that {t was the same guy that attempted to kidnap the other victine was currently #tanding on Ie back patio. ‘The muepect was pointed out to the writer by Srur and VICTIN 3. When confronted by the weiter, the suspect, later identified ae Jenberu Bekele GEDA, was extremely difficult and uncooperative Geda wae detained but he refused to answer any of the writera questions, After further investigation, the writer placed GEDA under arrest for indecent exposure and attempted child abduction. We was transported to the Special Victina Investigative Department. for questioning, After being advieed hie rights, he stated that he was on the playground around the time the initial incident occurred. He stated that he saw two children and wanted then ito come and play in his apartment. GEDA grabbed one of each of the Victims wrista and began to walk then towards his apartment, VICTIM 1 and VICTIM 2 said that thay did not want to go with GEDA, and they were able to free themselves and run avay. VICTIM 3 witnessed the entixe event and went and told SRUR what happened. GEDA algo stated that he had his penie exposed while he on tthe playground and while he wae on hie patio, GaDA knew the ages of the two boys, but he did not know their names. In hie interview, it became clear that GEDA has desonatrated a pattern of behavior that leada officers and detect ives to think that there have been other victine.
