involved with creating their own teaching website. Relating to the SOL standards the students will participate in and contribute to small group activities which means that each team consisting of four people, will have different responsibilities with the creation of the website. The website that the students will use is https://sites.google.com/. This site allows Technology The technology that will be used in this lesson is a website called https://sites.google.com/ this will allow students to create their website for free. Technology Directions for Use 1. First open the internet 2. Then type in the URL: https://sites.google.com/ 3. It should take you to a log in page which you will use the one that the school provided for you earlier in the year 4. You will see something that says create to your left 5. When you click on that you choose the option of in new sites 6. Then the screen will direct you to your webpage 7. At the top it should say the title of your page which you will type in the author of the groups choice 8. To your right you should see the images that say Text box, Images, Embed URL, and upload. These are drag and drop icons which means when you are ready to use them you will simply drag it on the main page (anywhere of your choice) 9. Also to the left it says pages. When you are ready to create another page, you click on pages, followed by the plus sign. 10. This website also gives you the option of changing your theme which is also to your right. 11. When you are done with the creation of your page you will click publish. 12. When you click publish you will type the name of your author after the /odu.edu/ then it will come directly to me. 13. Have fun, and be creative! Most importantly, work as a team.
