How to Remove The Paper Width Sensor

The photo above is of the print head and the paper width sensor. The red arrow
shows the location of the small screw that must be removed in order to access the
boards and cables that power the PW sensor.
 Once the plastic plate that covers the
PW sensor has been removed, gently
lower the two boards. You will notice
that these two boards are connected
by two small ribbon cables. Gently
unplug these cables from the boards
in order to free the boards from the
PW sensor.

Once the boards have been removed, apply electrical tape to the ends of both cables.
Then, tuck these cables back into the PW sensor housing and replace the plastic
cover. DO NOT throw the two PW sensor boards away. Place them in a plastic
bag and keep them in a secure location in the event that you ever need to reionstall
them.
