Interpretation of results and observations

In this experiment, heat and light source equipment emits the energy in
relationship per unit are. Heat was transferred from the hot surface to the sensor
through radiation. Definite amount of electric current had been supplied to heat up
the coil and emit radiation to the sensor receiver. Part of the radiometer instrument
displays the readings required for this experiment.
From the tabulated results, the closest distance between the heat source and
the receiver (_____mm) resulted in highest radiometer reading which is averagely
computed as ______ W/m2. On the other hand the, the furthest distance (_____ mm)
resulted the lowest average reading of ______ W/m2. At the furthest distance, the
heat of radiation which is emitted from the source tends to spread out to the
surrounding while reaching the sensor. This is the reason why the reading is lowest
when further distance is compared with the other distances.
Including in the table of results are the expected calculated value for log of
distance and the log for the radiometer reading obtained. These were included and
calculated to visualize the relationship of the two as their values were compared.
They were calculated and expected to give a linear equation y= mx + b and from
such equation of the line, the group could determine the slope that would
eventually direct the confirmation of the inverse square law of heat theory.
Although success of this experiment has been humbly claimed since data
gathered coincide with one another and the theory involved has been put into
concrete manifestation accordingly, there was still some errors that occurred that
deviated from acquiring a perfect result. The heat and light source was by default,
supposed to be adjusted properly, parallel to the receiver so that the path of heat
should be directly emitted. Since the source was adjusted frequently to change the
distance, its parallelism might get interrupted.
