vulnerable children while working together with children, young people, our
supporters and partners. Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Finance
Coordinator to be based at Amhara Programme Area.

The Role

The post holder is responsible for the overall Finance Management specific to the
program area he/she is assigned to meet all Plan International financial procedural
issues, legal compliance and all donor requirements with strong professional
support to the Program area manager, coordinators and partners for efficient
program implementation.

Major activities include:

Responsible to procedural compliance of more than 5 million USD budgets per


annum across the program area with diverse geographic area and implementation
modalities which needs wise financial management knowledge and sense of
cooperativeness.

Direct supervision of PA Finance staff including Program Area Finance Officer,


Emergency finance officer, and cashiers.

Job Requirements

The Person

To be successful, applicants need to have a BA degree in Accounting, Finance,


and/or Business Administration or other related fields with a minimum of five (5)
years of experience in an NGO environment with similar position.

Skills & Behaviors

Excellent communication skill, large data management and analysis.

High level of Calibre to meet deadlines, prioritize and delegate issues.

Planning, Grant management and follow-up skill.

Ability to use computer applications like Excel, MS word and Power point
Fluency in written and spoken English language

High interpersonal skill.

Reasonable supervisory/management skill.

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of accounting and finance.

Knowledge of plans computerized system: SAP and others.

Substantial understanding of grant management and reporting

Very supportive, respectful and Ethical to professional standards.

Excellent in prioritize issues and knowledge of using various transaction processing


and payment modes.
