Painting, counting, singing the alphabet each of these tasks revolves around a young

childs daily educational life. With the influence of progressivism, the freedom of a child to learn

as they grow is essential to their development. Accredited to John Deweys philosophy, I believe

that all children at a young age should learn about themselves through the arts, literacy, and other

academic subjects to better themselves in the future.

A qualified teacher is knowledgeable, flexible, caring, and confident. I will focus my

teachings on my students interests, while educating the children on their basic content areas that

will further improve themselves in school. I will encourage my students to learn how to read,

listen to stories they may not have heard of, and to cherish the lessons they learn by taking it with

them for the future. My classroom will have a welcoming atmosphere for families who want to

involve themselves by reading stories, helping out the students during interactive lessons, or to

participate in any classroom events. Families are welcomed during holidays and cultural

celebrations in order to inform and indirectly educate students the differences of ethnicities and

traditions. Also, I believe in cooperative teaching with other educators by conjoining classes in

outdoor lessons and insisting in small field trips regarding their community. Each student learns

in a variety of ways thus, I will instill multisensory learning because students are consistently

and indirectly learning through their environment. I will persistently update my knowledge of my

students capabilities, interests, and struggles to help my students grow into unique individuals.

However, I believe the role of the student entails obedience and open-mindedness that

will allow consistent discussion within the classroom. My students during their class period will

primarily learn their content subjects in order to become well-rounded. I promote music and art

in lessons such as during content lessons, activities, and morning routine. Youthfulness,

confidence, contentment, and creativity are four characteristics that students will learn and

benefit from throughout the curriculum through their projects and daily assignments. I will create

a pastel and neutral toned environment in order to further engage students without excessive

stimulation of primary colors. I will assess my students by taking photos of them performing

their work by permission from the parents, the completion of their daily tasks, and by achieving

their developmental objectives. The full purpose of the assessment is to meet the needs of all

students, including those who have IEPs or other accommodations. I will involve one to one

interventions that will be available for struggling students and I will connect their learning styles

and interests to the lessons in order to strengthen their skills in their academic content areas. I

will utilize cooperative learning strategies throughout my lessons in order to create a friendlier

environment by incorporating tactile group work and multi-sensory tasks.

I will effectively encourage my students by having a consistent, positive atmosphere. I

strongly encourage students to share their personal stories or questions throughout the class

periods because they will be motivated to listen to their peers and remain engaged during the

lesson.I believe that I will educate and teach my students to bring love and peace to themselves

and to others in order to create well-informed individuals for the future of the world. I aspire to

open the minds of the youth and allow them to learn through each of their intelligences and

accept those around them as family.
